Rad, my webmaster shoots the videos and he has been working on new software for the website for last couple of months. I have not pushed him on the videos. Besides not having the software ready yet, he is way behind shooting pictures of new items. We will continue with the NGKTV. I'll even push for one this week (but he don't listen well)

Hardhart, I'm at home now. Working here. I know that's not much help for you though. Webguy said we are switching servers...will take about 24-36 hours. He said there would be sporadic unavailability. One region would be able to access...another region may not be able. This stuff is above me tho.
Gawd, I hate upgrades! Please be patient with us.

EDITED TO ADD: Now...pay attention...Tommy just hit the button to convert our data base to a new format....next 24 hours may be squirrelly on our website. (Butt did it while I was adding the new Izulas). Not sure what you'll see .... new site, old site....new site, not fully populated...nekkid women...I just dont know. Give us a call if you want to be sure to get one (Izula, not nekkid woman).

I searched for "nekkid women" on the website and didn't come up with anything. Are they sold out already, and when do you expect to have more in stock?
 
Yea, no nekkid womenz...but we dooze gotz KNIVES!!!. I personally hate change. With change comes problems and it's the problems that cause problems (you can quote me on that). Webguy has been moving items to new site for over a month (no batch move on this puppy). Nearly 5000 items...whew. That is why the old site has not been updated, nor have we filmed new NGK TV segments. We will get back to speed tho. Site should be fully converted by the end of the weekend. Some features, such as 'search by blade steel' will be slow in coming fully online as we have to go through descriptions one at a time and tag the steel, handle material, type of knife etc. This will be a summer-long enhancement. Shame we are not a big outfit with scores of programers. Overall I am promised this will be much better than the folks we have used the last few years. Time will tell. In advance I ask for a little slack as we strive to improve the site and service.

A note for Overseas and Aussie people in particular, going through my normal webpage link I couldn't get on the new site BUT going through the link from Mike Dye's post directly above, no problems at all..............:thumbup:

I've had this happen previously with other sites........no big deal just you have to re-save the new website..............

A couple of points from Overseas if I may Mr Dye.........

1) I could't log on with my old sign on and had to re-register. Used exactly the same name and password no problem.

2) I've placed an order for three knives I'm pretty sure are NOT available, a JD Smith PE which has actually been procured by Daniel Tan (Datan on here and the Spydie forums) a knife buddy from Sydney, and two Kopa's, one an Apple Coral and the other an Evrina; I'm almost certain these were listed as Not Available/Out of Stock on the old site. The Grey Goddard has also gone but is listed as available. I know its gone as I bought it last week and had the order/shipment confirmed!

NOT complaints Mike but I think y'all need to know.

I also had to re-register on the site because my old user name and password would not work....but, but, but I don't have my wish list anymore!

I was also wondering if you guys will have the newest Spyderco Mule? I emailed someone (cant remember who now and I deleted the email...I'm stupid) about a month ago and they said I would be put on a waiting list and be told when they arrived.

I just ordered a RAT Izula and Sharpmaker because I'm going to assume I was too late for the Mule or yall are not getting them.
 
so there is no more wishlist option michael? You used to be able to put items in there to see how many were in stock of whatever was on your wishlist..

I worded that the wrong way. I was saying that since I made a new account I no longer have my wish list. I cant confirm that the option to have one is gone.

I have always been into knives and didn't know y'all existed until recently. So, as a fellow son of "Old Virginie" I look forward to driving down yonder and visiting the shop soon. :D
