New Nighthawk

"""It is not necessary to make more words about the peep/air holes
from Tops knives. But as it was written before it is a good thing that there are different opinions.
The world would be deadly boring without varying viewpoints.
Best,
Haebbie""

You nailed it Haebbie! :) We all have varying opinions. I would be beyond arrogant to assume that my opinions are correct and someone else's are incorrect. One thing I have learned in this job is that there is no perfect steel, or perfect heat treat, or perfect blade/handle/sheath design, that works for everyone. Would the Hoodlum bone score notch work as a saw? No, but I saw Ron demonstrate how well it works to lift your pot of food off the camp fire and since I have burned my hands way too many times, that one little feature grabbed my attention. Doesnt mean I'm right and your wrong. It means I like it and you may not. Whats wrong with that scenario right?
I recognise your right to like or dislike whatever you want in other words and I wont assume that you dont know what your talking about if we dont agree. Its just that our needs vary and thats reflected in our knife choices.

Well, these particular design features aside, I've yet to encounter another manufacturer that offers so much quality control for the price. That's why I keep coming back!

Leave the holes, then, but re-release the long spearpoint australian version without holes. I've got one, but it's rarity makes me reluctant to use it out where it could end up lost, as I'd likely have a hell of a time replacing it regardless of how many hundreds I was willing to throw. If you want to add a hole, go for a lanyard holein the handle. Charge $150 a piece and I'll buy three of 'em. :)

I think your talking about the 651 pig sticker? I love that model! I like the thought of it with a lanyard hole off the handle even more.
I dug around some and found out that there were a total of 1886 made. I havent been able to determine how many went to Australia and how many stayed here though.

I have 6 of the original Nighthawk series knives (without the holes) and love them.
I fall on the side of not liking the holes, on these new versions.
Joe, maybe offering them both ways would be a very good idea.
