Have you tried calling the Buck Store for available Hood collaborations. I understand that Buck offers a serious discount for veterans. It might be worth a try. Otherwise, the Hoodlum can be had for + $13 delivered elsewhere.

I have not been super motivated for the Hood series (notch) as I really like the Becker BK2, BK7, BK9, Ontario RD7, RD9, and ESEE-6 knives so far. One day I need to get a Hood just to compare. I just keep looking in the BCCI/Pro account and they are never there.

The Vantage Pro are and I can always buy two more.:D

I just can't refuse those camp axe. Everyone needs one of those. They will make great gifts. Who wouldn't want a gift axe? It is difficult to replace an axe with something else particularly if you don't care to battan your knife's blade into a log with a club.

Thank you for the alert DesotoSky. I owe you 1/2 a beer. :)

The ProSite has three Hood/Buck knives that I see: Hoodlum $96.80, Punk $72.00 and the Thug $80.00. Which two are you looking for?

I have a pro account and would buy a Hoodlum at that price, but like he said they are not for sale but my prices are not that low. Hoodlum $145.20, Punk $108 and I did not see a Thug.

I had a similar problem. I originally signed up on the Prosite with my BCCI credentials using an old email that had been used to purchase web specials in the past. I got your result when I signed onto the Prosite. To fix the problem here is what I did and it worked for me: So I signed up again using my BCCI data, instead of my old email I used a fresh (no Buck store history) email, and I was able to see and use the deeper discount. It was just that easy. I used my lovely wife's email with her blessing.

If nothing special comes up in the next week or so, I'll use my BCCI credit for a 757 Axe also. Just hate to use it on cheap stuff but that's the breaks.

draftpick….I am not sure why Buck's site does this, but after you log on to your pro-site account, you have to click on "knives" on the page that shows up. If you go to the site through the drop down, you get the higher prices. You have to go back and click on the "account" tab in the upper right corner each time you move around on the site….then click on one of the four choices on the page that shows up.

Hard to explain and I have no idea why it works this way. Just make sure you check out a known price like that of the Hoodlum. If the page you're on shows that $140.00+ price, go back and hit the accounts tab, then click on "knives" where it shows that you have two available purchases and the Hoodlum should show up for just under $100.00.

Does anyone know on average how long it takes to get stuff from there? I'm just kicking around some ideas but haven't decided and was wondering how long I could wait and still possible get it for Christmas.

If you opt for the free shipping, it can take a week or maybe a little longer depending on weekends etc. however you could pay more for faster shipping. Also remember that these are limited quantity items, and can suddenly sell out, so sometimes if ya snooze ya loose.

Tried for years to get my Pro account worked out, Joe was even involved for a bit. Even though I'm a Life member it was never figured out so I'm doinked there.

Once more to the well.

Four of these (581 ErgoHunter Boning knife with Sandvik 12c27modsteel), now discontinued) ordered (my second order, gonna be a busy Monday for the Buck Store). Anyone have direct personal knowledge of how the handles hold up to dishwasher action? I've researched the type of rubber (Alcryn) used and keep running into a thumbs-up from vendors.

I tried doing what you said. After browsing around the $96.80 Hoodlum price showed up and all the prices were lower but when I added the knives I wanted to cart they had the higer prices in the cart. Cart showed the break down list price, discount and new price. What I figured out today after I got a email from Buck with a 40% off code "buck110" that is what price my pro account is showing me and what price I get when I add a knife to my cart. My pro account gives a 40% discount and not the just over cost price. I called buck today and the people that handle pro site were at lunch so I sent them a email. Maybe they can fix it or let me do a phone order. You said vets get good discounts is the vet discount the same as what the pro discount should be?

The BCCI/Pro account is the best prices from my understanding. Even better than the BCCI 25th event prices last Summer that I spent way too much.:D The advantage of the 25th BCCI Event in Idaho was all the odd few produced Buck knives and upgrades you can't get in the dealer catalog or website. The Veteran discount are excellent from what folks say, but I have not use it.

I was on the pro-site today and no Hood knives were available to buy. I did buy two other Buck knives. The prices just too good to pass up.:D

I will findout what the vet discount is. My dad is a vet and he called Buck and they told him to register through the pro site. I sent an email and no response yet. I will call again, and maybe the vet discount will be the 60% off like what the pro discount should be.

Feeling a bit frustrated. Called again and told they were not available and to call back. Also still no response to my email..........
