New One...... Sgian Dubh

I finished the sheath today...

Leather with a Kydex liner... wide patch style backing to stay put in your sock or the waistline of your pants/kilt. I'm really proud of this SOB..... sniff sniff.

Absolutely the most amazing sgian dubh I've ever seen; I'm pretty sure I'd give a limb or testicle for something like that. You're my new hero! :D

I know they're small, but what are the dimensions on that thing? I'm thinking a slightly larger one with maybe more handle would make a great bush knife...

I love the classic Scot hideaway knife. I actually just found out that there is a bit of scot in my background which is all the excuse I need to get a kilt a scottish broadsword and a dirk.

This rememberance day(veterans day in the US) has had a lot of WW1 history attached to it because it has been 90 years since the end of the great War. Apparently the Black Watch who were the scottish stormtroopers were known as "The Ladies from hell" because of the kilts and fearsome rep. One of the best WW1 books written by a Yank in the Canadian army called "A Rifleman went to War" has an exerpt where the narrator could have machine gunned a bunch of Germans but the "Ladies" were to busy killing them hand to hand to get out of the way.
Here is a photo of the book and a bayonet that was in the trenches at the time.

I like Magnussens a bit better than the one with the burl although they are both great.

If you give him a testicle YOU are my new hero. I know I want to keep mine. LOL!

Great looking sheath!

Now for that I would actually wear a kilt. Scots, we were cross dressing before cross dressing was cool. Nice work. Mac
