I have only been asking for the G-10 Police to be re-introduced for about 2-3 years now.
Why when I asked about it, did you act like there was no reason to make it? I'm telling you, the G-10 Police was just a little ahead of it's time. If they had kept it in the line-up for a few more years, it would have caught on for sure.
Not all knife buyers get the news letters and know what is new for the season. Before I was really into knives, I was more like everyone else. I liked knives but didn't know any of the news coming down the wire. I remember seeing the G-10 Police at the knife store in the mall and not knowing it was new and not knowing it was shortly going to be discontinued. I wish I had bought one then.
Over the years, I have owned a few G-10 Police knives and they have always impressed me as one of the most forward thinking knives ever to come from Spyderco. It is such a simple idea but so right.
What has surprised me is that the all steel Police has been around so long. I am shocked that people would perfer to hold onto a smooth piece of slippery steel than checkered G-10.
