New Predators film knife content spotted.

Was wondering anyone know if the knife that was used by character Royce in the movie (front torso holder) was the ESEE Rat rc5 with serration? Seemed like it but unsure.

Yeap, it looks like the TOPS Dan mentioned.
The movie though, based on the trailer... will suck. No doubt.
No wonder, action movies slowly died in the 90's.

They are far from dead, movie genre's are evolving as musics did. They become too hard to categories unless you're a wanky music/film student who make new titles up all the time. The "Bourne" trilogy or "Taken" are great example of recent action successes.

I saw the movie yesterday. It was a gore fest which works for predator. It wasn't great, but it was the best since the original. There are a bunch of knives in this movie.

Yah the movie was bad, but what do you expect from a movie like that. I saw it for free so I didn't really care, but I wouldn't spend the ridiculous 10 dollars that movies cost in my area.

Was a cool display of how not to handle firearms though. Fingers in trigger guards/on trigger at all times even when they were just chatting and muzzle flashing the shit out of everyone in their group. Adrien Brody was a little over the top in trying to be a bad ass.

Cool knife though.

Just got home from it, Brody is right handed in the film, carries his handgun there, and the Jack Crain Predator "machete" from the first film is on his offside, handle forward for a right handed crossdraw. (Brody is horrible in this role, attempting what seems like the worse Clint Eastwood raspy voice)

He draws the TOPS knife right handed in one scene also.

Watchable film, but really lame in places.

Ofcourse I was exaggerating.
But I can't agree with Bourne trilogy though! :D Very very overrated..

I liked the movie. I guess if you have an open mind before you see it you will be more entertained rather than being convinced Adrien Brody can't be a tough guy.

I thought the movie was entertaining. Not an amazing flick, but a good way to kill some time in an air conditioned theater on a hot summer day. If not for the nostalgia making it better from good memories, the original wouldn't be that great either.

The only thing this one lacked was a few more quotable one-liners. Arnie and Jessie were chock full of them in the first flick.

Saw it last night and was not very impressed. I don't understand the end with the young guy from "That 70's Show" (I forgot his name) playing the doctor role. I won't spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet but I just didn't get that twist at the end with his character.
The fight with the asian guy and the predator in the field of grass was a cool idea but I find they could have executed it better.
I found Adrian Brody was trying too hard to be a tough guy, I didn't find it believable at all.
At least they played the trailer for Machete though, I've been waiting to see that for well over a year.

I thought the twist was so blatantly obvious and telegraphed that it wasn't a twist at all. I leaned over to my fiance and whispered a prediction of pretty much exactly what happened at the end, when he first saw the poisonous flower thing right in the beginning.

It was even more obvious during one of the later speeches where one of the characters was comparing themselves to the predators.

I hear you and agree. It was so obvious they'd do something like that but I just didn't understand the reason for it. It added nothing to the film as far as I was concerned. I find it actually killed it for me, it was so poorly obvious.
I also prefer the original Predator face and not the one from the other tribe's look, the one with the skeleton jaw in it's mask.
I like the fist two movies best also. The first AVP was ok but I didn't care for the 2nd one.
