New RC-5 Sheathing - Important!

If you liked your Eagle sheath don't despair. AN upgraded version of that sheath will also still be available for the RC5 sheath in three colors. The Cordura RC5 sheath will have an injection molded, removeable liner and a large hood over the accessory pocket to hold contents in better. This sheath will be offered as an option and should be ready in about 3-4 weeks for delivery.

Now to continue to get you all hot and bothered..... there is also going to be a large accessory pocket big enough to hold an ALtoid tin, that will be separate and will bolt onto the outside of the RC5 and RC6 hard sheaths. Since RC5 Kydex and RC6 sheath have exactly the same six hole pattern then all accessories like MOLLE back and accessory pocket and belt clip will interchange with both sheaths.

The RC5/6 MOLLE back will be larger than the small RC3/4 MOLLE back. It will be two pieces which can be taken apart for many more carry options and configurations. With all these options you should be able to carry your RC5 or 6 knife ANY WAY you can think of.:) It won't be long so save your pennies:) Mike
 
Sweet! Looks like I'll be buying an new RC-6 sheath and an RC-5 with sheath. I wasn't real fond of the Eagle sheath or the one that came with the RC-6.
 
I hope these are available soon. I'll purchase a kydex for my RC5, a moole back and a pouch for my RC6.
 
very nice, time to order an rc 6 for sure. I wasnt a fan of the brown plastic one.

Will the belt loop attachment fit the rc 4 sheath?
 
I think there might be a little bit of misunderstanding going on. The RC6 sheath is not changing to Kydex it will remain as is. It will just start shipping standard with the belt clip plate instead of MOLLE locks. After listening to a lot of input from everyone it was apparent that people liked the sheath, they just did not like using the MOLLE locks to carry the knife. The MOLLE locks made the knife ride to high on a belt for most peoples liking. Therefore we came up with the belt clip plate attachment to lower the knife as well as add some versatility to the carry options. The belt clip plate will be available as a separate item for those of you wishing to switch over. Hope this helps to clear things up a bit. Thanks everyone.

That looks pretty damn amazing! I'm definitely going to need to pick up a clip for my RC-6, and I'll be pleased as punch to find out what the MOLLE backing looks like!

I had been worried about what the RC-5 kydex was going to look like...but those worries were unfounded! You guys did a great job as always, and the tensioner is a great touch! Can't wait to carry these in the shop! :cool:

That ALL sounds awesome. I love my RC-6 but can't wear it with my pack. Therefore it never goes camping. That should soon be remedied!:thumbup:
 
Guys

Allow me to voice a concern ...... I hate these belt clips. When I am fully loaded up, kit gets caught and punished and I find that these slips are just plain rubbish. There is nothing I would hate more than to arrive at my site to find my RC5 missing. But a simple question could be my salvation ....would a large Tek Lok fit the hole spacing provided and could that be considered as an option. I have a RC-5 with the Eagle sheath and yes, it is bulky so the kydex would work when travelling light so that part is spot on.

whish there were more colour options though

had to get an OD custom kydex rig made up cause I'm so anti black
