New RC-5 Sheathing - Important!

Guys

Allow me to voice a concern ...... I hate these belt clips. When I am fully loaded up, kit gets caught and punished and I find that these slips are just plain rubbish. There is nothing I would hate more than to arrive at my site to find my RC5 missing. But a simple question could be my salvation ....would a large Tek Lok fit the hole spacing provided and could that be considered as an option. I have a RC-5 with the Eagle sheath and yes, it is bulky so the kydex would work when travelling light so that part is spot on.

Regards from Africa

Aubrey

I'd be very surprised if you didn't notice that a whole pound of steel was missing from your hip!

Aubrey,
It would be really hard for this clip to come of without tearing something up. It actually 'loops' under the belt from the back as well as the front. The large Tek Lok we sell made by Blade Tech will bolt up (2 holes) to the RC5 and RC6 sheath in the vertical position. There may be a very large Tech Lock available that will match up more holes but I don't know the source. The MOLLE back that will soon be available may also be a solution for you since it can be stripped down to something close to the size of the small MOLLE back that fits the RC3 so it would be very low profile and very secure in that configuration. That answers my question ...... thanx ! ;)

nice, the sheath setup looks great, might just have to get me a 5 or a 6 now. i like the belt clip, i imagine, will it be to wide for the rc-4 sheath or are their plans for one of rc-4 sheath size in the furture?

Cool beans.
I like the idea of an attachable pouch for the kydex/plastic sheaths too.

Now if the other companies would just listen like you guys do.

True that, in regards to attachable pouch and its koolness factor of 10!
That is something that i will use the shit out of, I am always stuffing little shit here and there..it will be nice to centralize the mess of lose objects, when im hurrying.
As well as the fact that i can fit all i need for a good little while in an altiods tin.. so that will be a nice small Shit'n get'n pack for me.

I really love that clip. Will you be making one to fit the RC3 sheath?

Buy the RC-5 clip, trim one side of it down with a bandsaw, drill two more holes in it and it will fit the RC-3 and RC-4 sheaths. ;)

I lost my Gerber Prodigy this weekend on top of She-Devil. I was going through a crack in the rock so small I had to take my pack off to fit. The molle straps tore right off and I didn't notice it wasn't there til I was well down the mountain-had to go back up to get it. it's a real problem, kydex with molle locks can be high profile if not designed right. I have arthritis in my hips and after a few hours of high altitude hiking I can't feel anything but screaming pain or numbness in most of my legs, let alone a 1 pound survival knife falling off my hip. nylon webbing and quality stitching are the real deal-I've seen a F250 SuperDuty with a hand sewn STABO rig made from 1.5 inch nylon strapping and 550 chord hooked around it's hitch and a post. The truck was gunned and sat there and bounced while the handmade STABO rig held. There were parts of this hike that were so dangerous I probably wouldn't have gone back, even for a knife. I lost my boonie hat, got blown off my head and fell a thousand feet into the valley below. You gotta be careful with your gear when hiking or climbing in certain areas... it could be life or death.

Rat are the new rc-5 and rc-6 out? and I'am looking for a Rc-6 w/plain blade. Does it come with a Molle setup? Thank you for your time.
