I hope you leave it logoless. I'm thinking by request a non-logo can be turned into a logoed XM, but you cannot request it the other way. So, steriles are a piece of the timeline.

I've had and like both. For daily carry and use I don't care which I have, but I've decided I definitely want to hang on to a couple of my sterile ones.

Oh I'm definitely leaving it logo less. I like the look. I think I am going to have them bronze anodize it for sure though. I love my bronze anodized xm-18 spanto. I like it so much i just might have my 24 anodized too while I'm at it.

I think it might, I haven't carried it hardly at all but I did lightly skip a screwdriver out of the pivot screw as I was attaching it. It left a barely perceptible scratch that can only be seen at certain angles in certain lighting - still bugs me though because I know it's there..
 
Congrats! I was watching this one on the exchange while at work last night, nice grab..

I have two logo'd (spantos) and one sterile (slicer) 3.5s. Would like to get a sterile 3.5" spanto.

Have any 3" XMs been produced with the logo?

I finally picked up a XM-18 3.5 in slicer this morning from the exchange. This particular one is a generation 4 all stonewashed and has a sterile blade. Ive had 3 spantos and I love them but I am looking forward to trying out a slicer. Here are the pics the previous owner took. Ill post more Monday once it is in my possesion. I just might have to send this one back to the ranch to get Bronze anodized so that it matches my 3.5 in. Spanto.

I'm not sure if that blue on that 3" Spanto is official, but things photograph differently in certain light.
 
Thanks! Yes, the blue on the 3" Spanto is official, but the anodizing does photograph differently depending on the lighting. Here's a photo of the blue Spanto from last year.

It's crazy how various cameras, light, lenses and so on can make the same thing look so very different.
 
Yeah the FDE is okay I guess, but the black is sick. Working on getting a spanto and a slicer in each size myself at the moment. Might have the larger ones tackled but the 3" knives are eluding me.

Yep, the 3" Spanto is a b**** to find. I've had a few, down to one now. The only way i'd give it up would be to trade for that blue one above. They're just too damn hard to find, especially lately.
 
I really like the FDE finish. I find those shades are less obvious than a solid black object in many cases.

I like both of the DLC finishes that exist so far on the XMs. Would also love to see the two mixed in a random camo-type pattern. Could be pretty sweet. Perhaps that's more for the fantasy build thread.

Now that sounds interesting....

If we're going to do fantasy colors, I'd like DLC in a dark, flat green.
 
Did you guys see the purple one that Mike posted yesterday. It was a crown royal purple anodized scale done at the ranch.

Negative. Anyone got photos? I have seen some Hinderer Ti beads with purple look to them, but not an XM yet. Would like to see it. Photo thread could benefit from a photo of it.
