Great looking Gen 2 P92. The orange in looks almost like a Corvette Orange. I like, it's is toned down from the usual bright orange scales. All the contrasting accruements; satin finish, bead blast, grind lines, orange scale, anodized dark titanium, lots to take in. Rick sure put in some time on this beauty, congrats!

Thanks guys, it really is. I might put the factory hardware back on (long scale screws and female ends). It seems as though I can't get one of the pocket clip screws off, so I'll have to work on that when I get back home to my tools tomorrow night. I need a T5 and T6 since the tiny Allen screw head is stripped.

I wanna put on a different clip (BB) since this one rides real close to the lockside, and very tight on the pocket. So many things to look forward to! I keep touching/admiring the grind lines them wiping the blade back off to make it shiny again. Lol so cool!

Place a thin rubber band over the screw and use the T5 or T6. The rubber band will help with grip and make it less likely to strip some more.

Thanks acak. The problem I have right now is I'm not home with my tools (bits T4-T20). The screw head is an older one, which is a 0.05" Allen I believe. But a T5 can work occasionally when the head is slightly "stripped" a bit.

I've done the rubber band trick before and it works great! So thanks for that brother. I'd like to put a different clip on it to carry. The sandblasted clip that's on there rides very close. The width between the inside of the clip and lockside is very shallow...so it literally tears apart my pants!

Perhaps the older clips were not bent out as much...who knows. No problem! I'll throw the extra clip on to carry. What a fantastic knife and piece of XM history!

Yeah, I'm sure that stuff evolved over the years to where they are at today. Probably felt a little more gap allows more clearance with the same retention. Their clips really do have great retention. Even after being broken in they give great confidence that your knife is there to stay until you want it out.

Clips can be carefully adjusted. Just like most knife clips...remove it...grip tab area...grip opposite end...re-bend as needed. Go gently, go slowly and wrap to assure on marring from plier-type tools used. Reinstall and enjoy.

No doubt about it. I used to be into deep carry clips, but since owning xm's I've come to love being able to grab hold of the butt end of the knife that's protruding out of my pocket.

As far as bending goes, I probably wouldn't on this one being a Gen 2 and all, plus even with wrapping I'd be scared to scratch the SB finish. But, I have an extra BB clip so it's all good. Just gotta get the screw off when I get back home from out of town!

I'm likely the last guy for making suggestions about keeping XMs pristine...but my earlier words about bending do need a little note: grab closer to the tab area with a plier while holding the mounting tab with another plier tool. Can wrap the areas in masking tape to protect them. Minor adjustment and bend as desired. Just assure the mounting tab stays flat...do not allow it to twist/bend.

Lol I think I'll have em all this afternoon. Although one will be on the chopping block soon. Last gen, FDE, DLC, Stoney!

Flashpoints have landed... This took a lot of legwork to put together :)

You know, I think the orange scale on this one is an older one also. I noticed the angles on the edges all around the scale go in a lite bit more. It feels a little bit more smooth! I haven't had any other orange scales, so I'm not sure about the different in color. It's always hard to tell in photos the real color! Especially with marsh green and BSG... ;)

That's quite the Herd of Flashpoints David!!! Love the setup you have on each, very cool amigo!!
