New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

Ouch bowman!!! Hope it heals fast.... Biceps are horrendous to tear.

ACAK, that's funny about your son asking again. Funny little guys!

I tore my bicep yesterday... I didn't know I was capable of making the sound that came out of my mouth! Don't look like there'll be any Hinderer goodies for a few months.

Man Bowman I hope you feel better man. Hopefully you just tore the muscle, that will heal. If you tore the tendon your unfortunately probably going to have to have surgery :( tore my distal bicep tenden Feb 2013 and had to have the distal bicep tendon repaired. Fingers crossed for you and keep us posted . i just had an Mri today, I may need surgery on a herniated disk in my back thats been bugging me for the last year. I see the neuro surgeon next Friday. Years of mixed martial arts has takien a toll on my body bro.

Thanks fellas! I ain't one to really air my problems online, but it's started to bruise. Oddly enough, it don't really hurt now. I'm hopeful. And Chaos, man I hope you're ok! I see a lot of brain injuries! Not to mention, I've had a concussion or two too many myself! Prayers sent your way buddy!

Got my first today, and here's my first attempt at posting pics on this site, as well as a failed attempt at artistic photography. Oh well, at least the knife is cool: 3.5" spanto w/ copper standoffs.

When I got it, I couldn't get it to flip without wrist action, so I added a couple drops of Tuff Glide. Still no good, so I loosened the pivot about 1 degree - almost nil, and wham!
My only complaint is it's not quite big enough, so I'm looking for a 24. (Not letting this one go, though).

Well, went to family Dr. today who immediately made me an apt at a Orthopedist. Went there & had xrays & now have an MRI apt tomorrow & follow up at Ortho Monday am. Complete bicep detachment! It looks nasty! Reattachment surgery in the next 2 weeks. YAY! LOL

That sucks. Some of the worst injuries have a pain period where the pain retreats and one believes the injury isn't too bad. I didn't want to say this earlier because it could have brought worry.

Honestly I figured as much. When a friend who had a tear said his hurt bad for months, I knew I was screwed! LOL BUT I appreciate ya not tryin' to worry me!
Son of a B!!! Sorry to hear bowman... What did they say the recovery time is like?
Doc said I could be back at work in 2 weeks, but physical therapy will be 6 months before they let me fully extend the arm. Only issue at this point is my job. I work in a hostile environment & a brace is a sign of weakness & even a target here. Same reason I'll only wear contacts & not glasses at work. I saw a pt. get his glasses smashed back in his eye once. They had to cut his lens out of his socket. BUT, we don't get the same caliber of pt. we did 10 years ago. There's still fighting here, but nothing like it used to be. It's kinda funny how many 1000s of fights I've been in and never done anything like this, then something as innocuous as puttin' my dog in the bed of my truck & Bam! Life jumps up & bites ya in the ass! In all honesty, if I wasn't still young & active, I wouldn't bother with it, but I've got a few years yet until they put me out to pasture! Thanks for the concern fellas! I appreciate it!!!

Are they going to attach down from your forearm or up in your shoulder? Mine was a distal tear so they went in my forearm and pulled my bicep back down. Hang in there bro. Ive been there. Tough surgery but youll be good buddy. Hope your not down for too long.

Yep, just like yours! It snapped at the forearm & they're gonna go in & pull the bicep down. He quoted me at least 2 weeks outta work. I started my fmla papers today & went by to show the rest of my bosses the arm. I didn't do it at work & I'm not tryin' to scam them into payin' for it like I see so many coworkers do, and I may schedule more time off than my coworkers, they're always wither goin' out hurt, or fakin' an injury to get time off. Other than scheduled vacation time, I haven't called in in over 3 years, so the bosses have been REAL understanding. And thanks for the concerns buddy! I've got you in my prayers! Keep me posted on your issues!

Yeah hope both you guys heal up right!!!

One of my best friends my age 31 has had 2 back surgeries. Still battling it..

On a lighter note my flashpoint bit me today!!! Charlie bit me and it hurt... So there's my hurt story so I don't feel left out ;)

Godspeed brother! Hope it was sharp! I hate cuts from dull knives! They take forever to heal! A lovebite from a sharp blade heals like a scalpel incision. Fast & clean!

Just keep up on the PT after Bowman. That will be the key to getting better quickly after the repair. Its a pretty serious surgery, but very common injury. Praying for you. I think they are going to do a micro distectomy on my T10-11 disk. Just going in and cutting some of the ruptured disk that pressing on my spinal cord. I had a c5-c6 cervical fusion a few years back and my neck feels great!

Lol @ Kwazy "Charlie bit me!!!"
