New/Recent Hinderer Scores Thread...a place to share and comment.

It's in the comment thread so here's my contribution...

Jensen, that pre-gen4 textured 3.5 scale is nice. I have found that of all the knives I pluck from my pockets and use in front of others my 3" Slicer w/ blue textured Ti gets called "attractive/pretty" more often than the other knives.

Jensen....that scale is just amazing....it's really gorgeous....I do think that is the nicest scale you can put on an XM.

(Including but not limited to Pond Scum.....) :D

I'm glad you found a few minutes to do it today....I've been looking forward to seeing it.

I concur. Blue textured Ti is on my want list. I'd love one for the 3", but also for a 3.5". Or for my 24. Or a bronze one. Even a SW textured Ti scale for the 3". Or 3" CF. So many wants....

In the end, blue Ti is the cat's meow, and especially on text Ti. Well done sir!

My first post here, showing off my new 3.5" XM-18. Nothing special (other than it being a Hinderer), but I can't wait to put this to more use

Great knife hidesan. The slicer grind is tough to beat and there's nothing more classic than the black g10 scale. Nice score. Use it well. :)

Yeah...the 3.5 Gen 4 Slicer with the black scale is very cool.
It was my first XM too and I still love it.
It IS special because it IS a Hinderer.
Great score and excellent start, hidesan.
If you're like most here....you will love it......others will follow....

Hidesen, welcome to the herd! You have now just been hooked and will be addicted!!! Use it in good health!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. I've been carrying it for the past few days and I need to force myself to reall use it for tasks, since it's the first knife of this price point that I have in my collection, but it has a perfect utility blade and is a pleasure to flick open.

And it's definitely a slippery slope, since I'm already lusting over the thought of getting a wharncliffe to go with it...

Nice score. Don't worry about using it. The stonewash finish wears nicely and you're not going to break it. I understand the first expensive knife thing though. It's a tough step to make sometimes. Welcome.

I carried mine in it's box to work and back the first day. Give it some time, you will see it for the amazing tool it is and won't worry a bit about using it and making it your own.
