New run of 48 Weasels, Hawthornes, DJ's, and IT's!

The Bloodwood Weasel is quite a bit slimmer... probably not as much difference with the Micarta Hawthorne Jacks

Do those have Squared Off Ends ??? The picture , from that angle , look like they may be .
Very nice knives Al.

Nice Weasel, Ron - great pic! Love that Bloodwood! One was due to land here today, but maybe the truck broke down. Hopefully tomorrow it'll get here, and I can try for a photo myself. :D

Mine arrived today too. I'd take a picture, but I've got bad lighting right now. Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe not, because it looks just like all the other ones. Great F&F, perfect pull, no liner gaps dead center closed, and zero blade play. My last few GECs (maroon micarta Bull Nose and muslin micarta 13 half congres) have been grand slam home runs. The 48 is close to the upper limit of length I like in a traditional knife but the slim profile of the Weasel still makes it very pocketable. I think this one will find plenty of pocket time.

Does anyone know the origin of this bloodwood is? Wikipedia and Google both give me dozens of species and origins from around the world. It appears to match the South/Central American bloodwood, but I'd like to know for sure.

One reason i like it here are the fine pictures, even of the same knife.

You asked, so I will. Still learning my new camera. Actually, cameras. Both are just point and shoots, but both take pretty good pictures. Canon Elph 360HS and a Sony H300. The H300 looks like a DSLR, but it's basically a P&S with a mega-zoom. Very limited on features and adjustments. It's not "new", but new to me (my dad got a Rebel T6). I'll take some with both and see what comes out. Gimme a couple days though.

Great, take your time!
And thanks also for the information about cameras.

If you want, I've got some NifeBrite I can throw in to the mix. My most carried and used knife is a 47 Hay'n Helper in NifeBrite, apart from my SAK which is always in my pocket.

NB pictures always appreciated, Aaron.
I guess your combo is very useful for bigger and smaller tasks!
Sure the weasel will look good with these two.

That looks great! I went with standard GEC NF Stag. Haven't seen it show up at CK yet.

Just showed up. Great F&F, and it is sharp...and easily pinched open. Very sunny out today - apologies for glare & wash-out.

Edit: I think it looks a bit better out of the direct, and later-in-the-day sun...

Thanks Alan. I have one of those coming too, looks like a cool weasel pin is coming with the stag according to GEC site.

Don't talk to me about pins. I bought 7 yes, Seven #13's and not one of them came with a pin. I think the minions at the dealers take the pins out and hoard them:mad::D

I have 20 GEC knives and 2 pins. Does that seem right? :o

From what I understand GEC put a pin in every fourth #13 with exception to the American Whittler SFO's which all had pins...so 25% random luck of the draw on the regular run. I bought 8, yikes eight #13's and have two pins out the deal. One came in African Blackwood Whittler SFO and one came with the office etch clerk. So I have low batting average and you my friend probably shouldn't waste your money on the lottery, lol.

I think that's way better than average
