I'm a self proclaimed knife novice, but have hunted & fished as long as i can remember. My older brothers also hunt and have long recommended "U.S.A. Schrade" knives. Recently i have an appetite for researching/collecting Schrade-Walden knives & some other older knife manufacturers. I have opted not to buy any chinese made knife and, after reading the opinions in this thread, never will..
I'm an Australian and it seems the boycott would benefeit in all areas of manufacture, anyhow really feel lucky to have become a member of this extremely diverse and informative site. Thanks for the piece of mind people.
