New sheepsfoot Buck 110

Where did you get that picture?

Is it photo-shopped?

Your picture certainly is not what is being advertised and sold by copperandclad.

Yeah, I quickly modified their picture, it's not a real knife.

I'll bet you that the blade had to be shorter in order for the blade to close down into the blade well otherwise it would hit the inside of the bolster wrong. In the rendering of the one that Macchina shows the blade being straight edged would not close into the bottom of the 110 frame. They would have to remove the lockback feature and make it a slipblade with not lockback notch,

Not necessarily, the blade would just have to sit higher in the frame. This is a pretty common feature on Sheepsfoot Lockbacks:

I say do a test run putting a "real" sheepsfoot blade in a Bucklite handle. And at a decent price...... Don't like the early photos in thread. Do like the mock up blade. I would buy one in a Bucklite handle, hey put a pocket clip on it also.....actually I agree on proportion is off but don't think there is much room to get the full length blade to go very far down in blade well. Maybe to get the blade down as low as it can be you can always put a hard nylon bumper in bottom of the well. Blade well would likely need to be redesigned would be cheaper to do it as Bucklite......300

Great idea 300. Make them for the BCCI. Your new project. Put me down for a few.

It would be nice to hear from someone from Buck regarding the questions we have regarding the blade design.

I like 110 variants with different blade shapes and grinds.

There is no current Bucklite handle, correct? There is the Bucklite Max, but that's different.

Put the blades in a revised (thinner, no finger grooves) Ecolite!
