New Spyderco Bug necklace knife?

They are legitimate, a little surprise if you will. We announced them to our Dealers/Distributors on January 1st and we have them here at SHOT Show.

They are little, but just as sharp as any other Spyderco. ;)

Kristi

I sure was surprised :D .

Oh man oh man.... thanks Spyderco for the great surprise... I will have to have at least one... probably more.

Very cool. Thanks for the information.

Can we get the story on these.
Blade steel? where they are made? Size?
Thanks

before you guys go dropping too much cash on the bay, the MSRP is 7.95. If you wanna drop 20 bucks on a sub10dollar knife, go ahead. I just thought I'd let you guys know.

Ahh the price of being the early adopter. Oh well, could have been worse. Could have paid over $200 for a Superhawk. Oh wait. . . .

These tiny folders really look a lot like the old mini Police model or tie tacks- but they do not lock and have very basic steel and are made in China- hence the low price. They are really a kind of a fun item and not meant to be a "user" - geez, you'd need pretty small fingers to use one anyway! There will be plenty of these around within days or weeks so save your money and see if your favorite dealer will throw one in on another purchase! Hopefully Knifecenter will, soon. But we can't promise anything at this time;)
We have some Spyderco news from the SHOT show HERE

Even if they're non locking and made in China, at that price you just got to get some :)

For those wondering how big they really are:

I didn't see this thread. I posted a pic a few days ago so a friend could see it. The biggest cartridge I brought home and the smallest knife.
Here is a phone pic of the "Bug" beside a 505 Gibbs dummy ctg. Tiny as it is it still cuts well. (Having trouble getting image)

Jake Bauer,

Yeah, I have two Tenacious and they are both great. I just don't want this trend to continue from one made in China to two then three etc. ;)
