New Spyderco Matriarch (FRN, Plain edged Civilian)?

I found out about this recently and I want some more info like when it will be available and what sort of price range it will be in. Do you guys have any more info on this sick looking blade?

All the knives out with the Endura-3 handle seem to go for $50-$65 (street price), so I'd guess it's around there. Being a sprint it might be a little more. Someone may have to correct me on this, but I don't believe it was in the mid-year catalog that just came out, so I'd guess it won't be out until next year.
 
so will this be the same size as the civilian with the only difference being the handle? or is the blade shorter/longer

Matriarch was a great design. Interesting to see an unserrated version. Spyderco should make more of these, in addition to turd brown sprint run. Black is good, green is good, grey is good . . . brown is acceptable, but frankly I'm disappointed there aren't other color options.

I prefer the Matriarch to the Civilian, Superhawk, Spyderhawk, Tasman, Harpy, and Merlin -- all of which, IMHO, were good designs -- but Matriarch is the best. I'd really like to see a factory waved serrated version in black.
 
I like Matriarch, I especially like its plain edge. Color of handle is not big deal. That looks more like milk chocolate than turd, JMHO. I think I'm going to get this one. Too bad they don't come with finger choil and slipjoint, then I'd buy one for my GF too.
 
The brown doesn't look all that bad I think. I have an original black Matriarch, so I might get one of these too, to compare. Not sure about the plain edge version though, seems like for the intended purpose serrated would be better suited. As part of a collection it's another thing of course and it's nice to have the option.
 
i would love to see a factory waved version of the matriarch!

But none the less, i will be picking one up:D
 
This is what i've been hoping for! i always loved the civilian but hated the serrations and the fact that it isn't a full-flat grind. Also, its a bit too big to carry legally here so having on me for self defense wouldn't be legally possible. How long is the blade Sal? Is it going to be under 4"? The blade length is my only concern...other than that, i'm already set on one. thanks!
 
by the way, just searched a bit and found listings for it at $66.47 and $54.23....AWESOME price!!! I'm pretty sure these prices are for this knife...listed on the sites as: "Matriarch, Brown Zytel handle, Plain" no pictures or specs yet, just the item number and name.
 
I'm not one to really go for how a blade *looks*, but I find this design of blade in FFG seems to look a little awkward. Seems to flow much better with the original saber type grind.

That said, really looking forward to this, Do you think you can swap handles with different colored enduras??
