Why didn't they use the 4th gen mold? Any hidden advantages of the 3rd gen besides being slightly lighter...and being able to change the clip out in the field with a penny?

Want it waved?

So, mine arrived. Very nice and very sharp, but I still think that overall I like my original one better.

Here they are both:

I seem to also remember you saying you would not trust a Spyderco Street Beat, because of the choil. You must be incredibly strong. That, or you have zero experience with the designs you are talking about. One of the two.

It must be easier to attack my credibility than the content of my opinion. :)

Is it an optical illusion or is the handle longer on the new one?

I wished they done it in gray like the original but its not a bad looking brown. Although, it really should have been done in pink, given this was originally designed for the ladies. ;)

in terms of looks, the original is definitely nicer. I think the sabre grind is more suitable for this blade shape. Not everything needs to be a full flat grind.

No, the handles are the same length. Even from the same mold I think. It must just the placement of the knives in the pic that makes it appear there is a difference. The pocket clip on the new one is a little flatter and sits closer to the handle, but it's not a big difference.
