hello all,

first post in this forum i think.

the only spydercos i have ever owned were purchased about 15 years ago and have long since been traded or given away (except for one endura i bought as a gift).

the military model has had me intrigued for some time, and i finally pulled the trigger on an od/cpmd2 model.

mr. glesser, i must say i am very impressed. probably the sharpest folder nib i have ever received. and i have owned many folders, crk, emerson, strider, and many customs. the military shaved off my fingerprints!!!!

fit/finish are exactly what i would expect. i am looking forward to using this one for sure!!

i really like the color on the scales! but ill have to tie a blaze orange lanyard so i dont lose it in the woods this weekend.

the serrated choil is great, allows one to choke up on the knife easisly and securely.

good solid lock up right from the box. no need to wear in the lock.

All these threads about Millies are making my wallet very, very nervous. Nice snag on the D2 version. I'm thinking that I may have to get one in S90V when they come out, no matter how loudly wallet or cheap conscience scream.

The only thing keeping me from buying Military is the linerlock - I don't like those things. But sooner or later, I know I'll get one.

pafka,
Look at the Para Military with the rock-solid compression Lock.

The Military/SE is my very favourite Spydie. That liner lock is tough as nails.

I wish the Para had the very same liner lock because I've not been very lucky with my Para's. All of them developped vertical play after a while.:grumpy:

Won't happen to the Military:thumbup:

I've been carrying an ATS-34 SE Milly for over 10 years, can't say enough good things about it.

It's a slicing machine !

I've got one in 440V and S30V also, would like to find a D2 version.

Congrats !

I always wondered why the P-Mil. was not modeled after it's big brother, re: the liner lock. Maybe the Deacon will chime in.

Excellent choice on the Military. I used to have bad thoughts about liner locks -- this was before the Military. Spyderco's liner lock is one of the best around and the Military is a tough user.

I still have yet to use my D2 Millie. The CF BG 42 Millie that I EDC is just not wearing down!

The Military in any configuration is just an awesome piece of equipment. Truly a remarkable blade.

You mean to tell me that up until today, Leroy Jenkins had never posted in the Spyderco forum!?!?!?!? Hm, that's just weird.;)

Mori----Thanks for your up-date on your new Millie. Have fun in the woods.

Sal,

I was reading another thread, and you were talking about an S90V version of the Millie out now, Is this True? of am I confused?

Exactly! I've had my CF BG42 Millie for some time now (maybe a year or so?) and it will not quit!

I echo BOK's comments!
