Hey Everybody....

First a word on the BK11 NECKER handle slabs......Very good news from Tooge....The Vendor has the material in house, at long last, and will be running the parts next week or the week after Christmas....Soooo Soon come.....Sorry it took so long but it took several protos to get it right...

And NOW the BIG NEWS.........
Today the Brown Santa Claus brought a production prototpe of the BK5 MAGNUM CAMP and it IS SO SWEET.......Those of you who have been eagerly anticipating the great (and ever so wonderful) Jerry Fisk's classic camp knife are gonna love this one......This is a graceful and beautifully balanced piece..... It FEELS graceful and it is VERY fast in the hand....This speed is almost a Fisk trademark and damned difficult to get right....The grinds are beautifully done.......It arrived too late to take it to the woods this evening, but the anticipation IS building for the morrow......A little rope, a sapling or two, maybe a coke can, and of course an onion or three......GOOD TIMES coming for certain.........

Beautiful Ethan! You need to invest in a high qualtiy Headlamp so the darkness does not hinder your testing! :D When can I have one??? Can you give us some history as to why you designed this knife the way you did? It is a different design then other so called "camp" knives, and bet you had good reasons to make it the way you did. I am jacked about this...and eagerly await my Machax!:)
 
I know I'm looking forward to owning some fresh Beckers. Then again, they never do grow old. ;)

Magnum Camp sounds like a good idea to cover them both. :)
 
This means I can put my Camillus Magnum Camp into semi-retirement and use the dickens out of a new KaBar one.

Ethan, is the new BK5 going to be the same specs as the camillus version?
 
I'm really excited as well!
I've only got 1 Magnum Camp (Camillus) and wanna get one to beat the hell out of.
I'm just wondering if it's going to be the same stock as on the Camillus model. :confused:
 
Hey Guys...

First I have to apologise as I promised some test impressions from today and unfortunately I spent today from git up to broke down on a project for the missus......For what it's worth I really want to get this done for her for Christmas and I had help today and I took all of it I could get......Tomorrow IS another day and I expect to get the truly fun "chores" done and will be back tomorrow night about this time.....I will have some "user" impressions and will go over the spec changes (minor) and I will try to get some photos as well....As many of you know I am a complete failure as a computer nerd.(they have moving parts) soooooo...I will have to once again solicit help from both the lovely Susan and Tooge to get them posted.......

I am going to soak my aching muscles, have a brewski and pass out.......See you all, I hope, tomorrow evening........
