I finally got my Tenacious SE today! I only had to wait Two Weeks. It took the company Eight days just to ship it out to me... (Although they took my money the second I hit the "Pay Now" button!)
Anyway... This is my first on a few points.
First Full Flat Grind.
First Fully Serrated.
First G-10 Handles.
First Liner Lock... (in a long time, from a decent company, anyway.)

So far this thing is pretty Mean! Its a little smaller than I thought, but I do like the grip on it. I am really looking forward to testing this thing out. I really want to see what this Spyderedge can do.

I just passed one of these toothy beauties up, and now you got me staring again. . . nice pics!

Made in China? Photos make it look pretty good, but how's the quality on really close inspection and use?

I took this thing to work today and put it through some serious self-tests.
Paper and cardboard... Slices through it like a Lightsaber.
Rips through Rubber hose like a piranha.
Carves wood like a straight edge.
Zip-ties... No problem.
Manila rope, Braided rope, Shoe-string... Cuts like a Laser.
I even sliced through some thick, heavily braided backing material from the pinsetter machines at the bowling ally. This stuff is just like seat belt webbing for the HULK. Twice as thick as a seat-belt and about a foot wide. The Tenacious sliced through it like it was nothing.

I have to say that I'm really impressed with this knife. For $40, you cant beat it.
Quality is just as good as a High-End Expensive blade. I will continue to test it to its limits, and I don't plan on sharpening it anytime soon.

Terrific pictures. Thanks for the posts. I bought a Tenacious SE from an ebayer about a month ago and really like it. Used it to cut some carpeting and it easilly sliced through the material smoothly and cleanly. Quality is noticeably better than the Byrds (which are fine knives too). Its an outstanding bargain at $40

I will continue to test it to its limits, and I don't plan on sharpening it anytime soon.

Better to keep it sharp than to let it get really dull. Our serrations will tend to cut even when they are getting dull, but then become more time consuming to sharpen.

I've had a fully-serrated Tenacious for about a month. I've been cutting hose, cardboard, carpet ,etc and it's performed great.

I'm in the minority that really likes fully serrated knives - more specifically - fully serrted Spydercos.

I have been waiting a couple months for mine, it is still on back order.they look really nice though.

Wow those seerations look wicked, and the quality is really awesome for a chinese-made knife:thumbup:

Thanks for the pics and the review. What is that folding Bowie?

Folding Bowie... Cold Steel Voyager XL.
Toughest knife I've ever owned. It is big though, 5in Blade.
Thats why I started buying Spydercos, I was looking for something as tough but a little smaller...
so people don't crap themselves when I whip it out.

Ewww, dat nice. I think I'm going to spend money I'm not supposed to on this forum...

I used this little knife for a week or two now, it okay at best.
The action gets clogged up with lint too easy and it became Dull rather quickly. Those serrations are a Pain to Sharpen as well.
I have since gone back to EDCing my CS Voyager.
The Tenacious stays in the glove compartment.

Changed your tune suddenly after you got kicked out of the Spyderco forums for inappropriate behavior eh? What a surprise.:D Funny how you liked it untill then.

You are one predictable kid. Joe
