New to blade forums

Welcome, the most important thing you need to give when asking for recommendations is a budget. Keep in mind some people on the forum think a $200 is cheap, and some think a $20 is perfectly acceptable. Quality "tactical" knives will start in the mid $20 range, for a very acceptable knife, all the way into several $100's. My first tactical was a spyderco Delica. It is in the $50-$70 range. I really like the Ontario Rat 1 or 2 and they are in the $20-$30 range, very capable knives.
