Hi guys, I thought I would post some pictures of my new toy. I mentioned it in another thread and some have shown an interest.
It is an Israeli Tavor chambered in 5.56mm. It's overall length is under 30 inches which makes it very compact and great for CQB. I mounted a couple of scopes but still haven't decided on an optic. It's down to a Trijicon TA11, Meprolight RDS, or a Primary Arms Gen3. I am leaning toward the RDS mainly because it's made in Israel and the Israeli military uses it on their Tavor's. The Tavor won the NRA rifle of the year. It's shorter than a NFA short barreled rifle without all the paperwork and loss of ballistics. It has a full length 18in barrel, but it's shorter than a lot of sub machine guns doe to its bullpup configuration. Notice how the trigger and action is IN FRONT of the magazine? That's a bullpup! Another example is the Styer AUG which can be seen in the first Die Hard movie. It was carried by the tall blonde guy name Carl in that movie. He British military uses the L85 bull pup, Austrians use the AUG... The Tavor I bought is used by the Israeli military since 2006 and has been adopted by over 20 other nations. It's as accurate as an AR and as tough and reliable as an AK. Here are some pics...
