Fishshooter - thanks for the tip on off-setting the rivets; seems to work!

Perhaps a bit awkward, but at least it holds it securely...

Talked to Ryan before he left Friday said you feel in love with Jenny, What will your wife say

Hahahahahahahahahaha, that's hilarious!

No worries...Lisa knows the relationships are toooootally different. Neither really has the ability to compete with the other :)

Looks good, with that "flange" on the back does it snap in?

Yes it does snap in; but wouldn't trust it without the strap for security:

Reheated and opened up the top and bottom corners for draining:

Also widened the opening to make re-sheathing easier:

Thanks, it looked like it would snap into place. The last pic helps understand better how easy resheathing would be...I wondered about that in the firat pic. Looks like a great rig for attaching it to a pack.

I've seen alot of do-it-yourself tomahawk sheaths and mounts and such, but I find just stuffing it in my belt flat against my buttcheek is easily accessible, fast draw, low profile (haft doesn't swing like crazy or get in the way) and the blade doesn't slice up my pack or my shirt. I may make one eventually but it will be a simple leather belt loop and rivetted swiveling blade cover for carrying my hawk just as I described.

You gotta love that stuff. I send things to people and they will get it while it is still listed as somewhere in between.

There will always be a spot in my heart for the original pilot's knife. Not the best knife in the world no but still a favorite of mine because I spent so much quality time with one. I have a lot of memories of using one. They're better once you put an actual edge on them, good 1095 hi carbon steel.
