I finally got my mittens on some MagnaMax, and I am impressed! If you're new to the steel, it was developed by Dr. Larrin Thomas of Knifesteelnerds. It is basically an extremely corrosion resistant version of CPM 10V or K390. Much like how Magnacut targeted the high toughness of tool steels like 4V and made it very resistant to corrosion, MagnaMax targeted the high wear resistance of 10V/K390 with the same level of stain resistance of MagnaCut. It has very high apex stability for such a high carbide steel. Heat treat done in house with "cryo" cycling and triple tempers for a hardness of 65HRC. Full flat grind with a very thin behind the edge geometry (you know me!) and a hand rubbed satin blade finish. For geometry reference, 0.010" is about 1/8" above the apex. All grinding done under flood of water. Handle is stabilized crotch walnut that has gorgeous color and figure. Black g10 pins and liners. The edge was sharpened on diamond plates to 600 grit, then resin bonded diamond to 3000 grit, then on a 3 micron diamond plate, and stropped on 1 micron diamond film. I then went back to the 600 grit diamond plate and gave it 2 VERY light passes on each side. This thing is just so wicked stupid sharp! MagnaMax is going to be the new standard to which all high wear resistant stainless steels will be measured against.

OAL: 8 7/8"
Blade: 4 1/4"
Handle: 4 5/8"
Steel: MagnaMax 65HRC
Handle: Stabilized crotch walnut
Thickness: 0.105" at the plunge grind

Paypal preferred (samuraistuart@yahoo.com). Generally, the first person to send PP gets the knife. If you are interested, I recommend posting something like, "I'll take it! Funds sent." and sending payment immediately. No need to ask if it's still available. If there is ever a conflict, which hasn't happened yet, I will refund your PP immediately. I also take Venmo, DM me for the address, it's my wife's account and I forget the address. All knives come with free shiping in the USA and a lifetime unconditional warranty. I'll repair or replace, pretty much no matter what. Just understand that I like to use thin stock, thin grinds, and temper most steels for a slightly harder blade than you might be used to. I highly advise do not try to cut throught nails, bone, frozen food, or stab a car door, things like that. Just use it to cut stuff, like it was intended. If you have any questions, send me an email or DM me. Email is same as the PP address. Thanks for looking!
