Only 1000 made? Or at least that will be the top number? So is anyone willing to pay the extremely high price? $361 seems way up there JMHO. $84 or $50 club members price for the 50th anniversary edition is by far the best use of my money. Comments please! 👍🏻

Held one, and immediately decided I’d prefer to hunt down an original vs the tribute, especially with all the busy looking LE writing all over such a small blade imho. Landed a mint V1V1 with the brass spacer for significantly less. Regular 50ths are nice. Now the 110 Federal tribute without all the writing that came out a few years ago is on my wishlist and I believe that was significantly less $ as well.

Agree the regular 50th were a great buy, I picked up all 4. I did buy the Tribute but did not feel it was a great value. Feel the same as Draleon about the blade and that originals can be snagged for less.

David Nowlin David Nowlin Yeah, you got it but I am going to explain for the benefit of others.
2 versions of the 112, standard and FG. Both with and without the 50th inlay shield on the handle.
All 4 have the 50th tang stamp.
I'm disapointed it appears no other 112 variations with have the 50th tang stamp. For example the Drop Point or Custom Shop knives.

I've already seen one on the Bay for $150.00 no box or shieth..and it was relisted lol! I made a offer that wasn't acceptable. The billboard etch bothers some. When first released I suggested that it was 'limited' to 1,000 and possibly all would not be made..But I don't know if that is even possible. The simple fact is some folks will buy it IF they like it and it doesn't matter how much it costs. Some Buck collectors are 'comfortable" but for a lot of us (me included) we have a Buck budget and have to balance how much we can afford..

Well said Desotosky & bucksway.
I just ordered the standard and 2 Finger Grooved versions mainly to get free shipping and a free camp mug. Then i re read the Buck email and realized i had to put in a code for the free camp mug (what they think they are My Pillow??) any way i called 3 pm Factory time and Sales was closed??(short staffed like everywhere else i’m sure) Got through to Warranty( i cheated) and Silvia👍🏻looked up my order and I suspect i will have a camp mug in my package when it gets here.😁❤️BUCK❤️

David it was the new $361.00 112. No box and the pic was the billboard on the blade. I was tempted because I want one for a old fashioned auto conversion. But I know one will show up eventually.

So how are they buying a $361 knife and selling it for $150? Why no box so soon and is the box really worth $190? I would think the box would be very very nice as some of the special knives i have received from Buck are a cut above the standard yellow box for sure.

There's probably a story there somewhere.

Years ago I purchased a clean '69 Road Runner for $400.
It wouldn't run..... The rubber fuel line from the tank had a hole. It cost me a few clamps and 6 inches of rubber fuel line to fix.
It was part of a divorce settlement..... She didn't want. It was all to spite him.
I bought it from the guy that purchased it from her. He was clueless. He had the title. That's all that mattered to me.

I guess things that don't seem right involve someone's loss.

We have a found a couple in the pawn shops around here that probably were lunch box knives. Without a box or paperwork, I would venture to guess it was a lunchbox knife.

On the 112 I seen the seller was in Post Falls so there could be numerous reasons he sold it. The most probable reason is he bought it cheep. But it lasted online for one full listing and 3 or 5 days into the second. Plus it had a poorly written description. Mr. Hubbard just posted the most likely answer. I know it was a big problem in Sandeigo and I'm sure when the new plant in Post Falls was built that was addressed as well. If I know anything I am considering to buy is or a good possibility stolen I just pass..You reap what you sow.

DeSotoSky DeSotoSky i zoomed in on the drop point 112 and it seems to show the anvil under the BUCK on the tang? Not exactly the same as the clip point blades but still commemorating the 50th anniversary? I wanted a clip point 112 anyway and really wish they did one with FG option.
