I think You can expect the distressed leather to soak up more dye/stain, and as a consequence get quite a bit darker than full grain leather of similar color. That's just me guess. If you had some scraps you could try thinning the dye, and experment on the scraps till you got the color you wanted. I have no idea where you could get scraps of Buck's distressed leather. I think a light coat of the Neatsfoot oil TAH suggested will probably darken the leather about the amount you want.I just think distressed leather is a bit too fury for stain but what do i know.
