Anyone know or have a very good educated guess as to what the Christmas Buck knife ( or knives) will be this year?? I hope they sell them on line again as they were not in many NY NJ PA Walmarts last year. I bought 12 on line last year of the 110s.....any guess?? They must be made or being made by now to be on the shelves in November !!!

It's going to be a 110 with genuine ivory scales, s30v steel. Will come with a kangaroo leather open top sheath. $25

Is that Mastodon ivory??? Or Mammoth ivory??? Or just plain old elephant ivory???

If it was Elkodon ivory, I'd buy one in an instant...:thumbup:

It will be your choice! The walmart guy at the knife counter is highly trained enough to change out the scales! Isn't this a beautiful world?

Now that would be one heck of a Christmas present! ;) I'd buy two for myself and one each for all my brothers-in-law...oh yeah, one for my son-in-law and one each for my grandsons. (somehow it doesn't seem so cheap anymore.) :o

Not in *any* Niagara County NY Wal-Marts last year...Only the Remington sets... :(

Very strange...Does each store get to order & stock only what they want???

I may have to send out...the cheerleader... :D

Nothing around here either.

Wal-Mart employees denied any knowledge of such things even existing.

This was not hard to believe, as the Wal-Mart employees all seemed to have IQs only slightly higher than broccoli and a profound lack of knowledge seemed to be one of their hallmark traits.

Who knows, maybe we'll accidentally get some good stuff in this year.

Well, to give Walmart employees a little bit of a break, I really think that their managers treat them all like mushrooms and more or less keep them in the dark. The first whiff they get of some new knife offering is when they open up the box.

Well, I talked to managers, too. Maybe they were smarter than mushrooms, it was hard to tell. I know they were poor communicators and inexplicably proud of having many knives, even Remingtons and Winchesters......(everybody knows what great knives THOSE are).

I rarely venture into that den of evil, it sickens me.

It's a little early.

We don't usually start obsessing until about the first of November.

Yeah BUT someone in this forum knows the answer now !!!!! Isn't that what this is all about sharing the needed info ?!?!!???? lol

It's about letting the tension build to a massive explosion of consumerism.

Wait for it.

Some idiot sporting goods sales manager will tell the MacDonald's reject stockboys to put everything that's on the dock on the shelves now...and three or four days later, it will get done...not the right shelves, maybe not even in the right department (remember the "hot sales" aisle from last year?), but most of them will get put up...some between Thanksgiving & Xmas; some right after Halloween...

...And in New York State, not at all!!!... :grumpy:

As a matter of courtesy, I won't eat brocolli that is that slow.

I do anticipate those nicely described Christmas 110's, in appropriate collector's tins, of course, to be in-stock locally in time for the $8 'closeout' sale. I'll get one... S30V is tres gauche... must have BG-42...

Honestly, I was shocked to see the Halloween stuff out. They did advertise NFL jerseys for ~$26 - said they'd be in by Sunday at midnite for today's sale - wrong. Oh, I couldn't sleep - visited them at 3:30 AM this morning... nice and empty. Looked over the visible (Plexiglass door.) Buck knife stock - 655s only! Should have taken a Benadryl.

Stainz

Maybe that's were all the BG-42 has gone. It's in the Walmart Christmas Bucks. :D

Tom

Doh! I thought Buck was going to put out a Halloween knife when I read this thread title. :D

A Buck 500 Duke of any sort would be a hot ticket, if you ask me. It isn't something you see every day anymore.
