Fishing Tackle Retailer March 2008 p 36 -

The global giant will eliminate fishing tackle altogether at 600 stores, go seasonal only at 2,100 others, the remaining 500 stores would sell tackle year round.

Several of the stores in my area have already eliminated fishing equipment.
 
Thanks Pork Chop.....I buy ALOT of fishing equipment from them so that is bad news to me !!!!
 
We have so many quality sporting goods stores in our area, I wouldn't shop there for tackle anyway. All the good stores carry Buck knives as well.

I look forward to my next trip through Post Falls.
 
Hey now the Turkey is almost in the oven ...soooo any news on what to look for yet !?!?!?!?!?!
 
I need to get the turkey roll out of the freezer - the standing rib is dry aging and will be perfect. I'll get the 120 out to do the honours.

It's time to hit the stores for 110's, I guess.
 
I've been chiming in on this thread for some time now, but it's getting serious now, there's no new knife to carve the turkey!!!

I look forward to seeing the tins and was hoping to get one this year. No news yet about them? :confused:
 
Sorry no info has been made available on holiday programs this year. This has been one strange year and none of our retailers seems quite sure how to stock up for holiday this year.

I will recheck on holiday specials and also answer a question that going forward Wal-mart will continue to carry 110's.
 
I haven't seen any specials on Buck's anywhere today. No Bucks on the Walmart web site either......a dark holiday for sure....
 
How depressing....All Walmart has this year is three totally sh-t Winchester 3 knife packs for $10 and 20....a single for $5....crap knives......

Pony up an additional $30 or $40 and go to your favorite knife dealer or BPS or Cabelas and buy a nice knife with better steel than the Wal Mart Buck knife.

For only $30, or $40 in addition to what you would have spent on your Wal Mart tin, you get cheap medicine for your depression. :D
 
Sliverdagger.....I have about 100 model 110s and buy 12 each year the tins come out.....no tins this year is a real bummer....
 
Chuck, if you build it we will buy! Tractor Supply might be a good choice..Every time I go in to TS I ask for a Buck knife.. Hey if we all did that mabe they will call YOU!
