Now I'm confused... Sambar Stag? I didn't/don't see that option, which would have been my 1st choice too. I thought getting genuine Sambar had become difficult in the US. Is there another special order page other than Shop -> Custom Knives?

When you go on the custom site and start building your knife, look at the bottom of "choose a handle" and move the bar over to a whole new world of handles. Don't feel bad....I've been going there quite a while and only just discovered that the other day when someone here mentioned it.

I believe you have a day or so to make a change.

OK, now I see it. I thought that was a build progress bar, not an option slider. Thanks for the tip and the welcome too!

"Ka-ching" -- Sambar scales nearly doubles the total price from the water-cow version I ordered.
For that price, maybe I should have my nickname engraved? Nah...

Please post a few pics when you get those 105's. Depending on the color of the wood I might pop for one or two after Thanksgiving if they are still available.

I'll try to get some pix up, but I just noticed that the 105s are no longer on the web specials page. It looks like my two are being processed, though.

I'm now wondering how many were made and if someone has bought a quantity to resell on the bay.

I have three of them on the way to me, but don't plan on selling any on the bay....heck, I've never sold anything there. It was just too good a deal to pass up on those 105's. I should have them on Monday.

By the way wolfdog, I was able to order that NS S30V Sambar Stag 110 from the custom shop. The NS became available yesterday, so I got my order in while I could this time.

Just an update that I left my prior stated CS 110 order config "as-is" with S30V steel, NS bolsters and smooth waterbuffalo scales. Rather than amend my order to Sambar for an add'l $107, I just now completed eBay transaction for a 2004 Ltd Edition 112 with NS and Sambar (including leather sheath). The total negotiated delivered cost was not much higher than upgrade cost difference would have been on my CS110 from smooth water-cow to Sambar. I suppose I'm really more discriminating buyer than "collector". My thinking is that my new CS110 spec'd as stated plus the NOS 112 Sambar will keep me away from Buck's custom build page for awhile...
