New York Senate Passes Bill to Outlaw Machetes

Ahhh the mantra of... "If it's been in a scary in a movie, then it should be banned!"

Machetes, Daggers, Suppressors, Flash Hiders, Brass Knuckles, Nunchucks, Butterfly Knives, Switchblades, Tasers, Expandable Batons, Sticks, Bricks, Rocks, Sand... The Stay Puft Marshmallow man.

They ALL give (liberal) politicians bad dreams and cause them to wet beds.
 
Ugh - ridiculous. Speaking as a liberal, this makes me sick. No party has a lock on stupid, but this kind of thing is just idiotic.

We should also ban sharp sticks, forks, bees (don't like that sound they make), Mosquitos (too many diseases), Mocking Birds (they are just mean), snakes (self explanatory), those red ants (get one down the back of your shirt when you are cutting wood and you will agree with me), any hard toe shoe (protects the shins of the innocent), cars (accidents kill), bicycles (see cars), airplanes (see cars), rocks (mentioned already), water (you know how dangerous water is....don't get me started). That is the short list. I am sending all of this to my senator and in CA I am sure it will all be banned and we can all be safe.....from life. Just put in a bubble wrap and seal us in a padded room so we don't get hurt, for the safety of the public at large of course.

...and yet, we are not the ones confused about how to read the ever so simple phrase "shall not be infringed". ;)
 
Honestly I'm way more scared of someone crazyily swinging around a garden hoe or pitchfort or even a airaitor more so then a machete

On a side note.........
I had some work done around the house. Hired this carpenter and his work was really shoddy. I saw he was using a Stanley Hammer.........can I sue Stanley?

I'm beyond glad that I'm outta there. Was stationed in upstate NY for three years and some change, and Can't say I'm surprised they're doing this asinine stuff.
 
And yet they only ban swords if they're concealed in canes. I guess that's because machetes can be used as weapons and swords can't. Unless they're "cane swords."
