Look at this beauty. It's classy on so many different levels. I haven't been so stoked about a folder like this for a long time!

Damascus composite blade, 3-D machined clip, backspacer, handles, and even lock!

Those of you who get to handle it and the Hinderer Flipper at BLADE absolutely need to post more info. I want to know how awesome they feel!

Specs on this page: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/853890-First-Look-ZT-0777

It's a bit modern looking for me but I am interested. As long as it's big on functionality and not just gimmick.

Looking forward to the reviews! Any idea how the locking mechanism works? And I assume that might be KVT ;)

This and the ZT/Hinderer flipper are the knives I am currently looking forward to the most. Im just hoping the 0777 is going to be a production model, or at least have enough to go around(1000+)

It is. Look at the details link :)

I think it would be great if ZT would make knives with more traditional blade shapes.

Haven't you seen the ZT 0780 / ZT 0560 (Hinderer Flipper) / ZT 0551 (Hinderer Manual)?

The 0777 just looked like a modified Wharnie / sheepsfoot to me.

I have the 0400 and although it's awesome I would have preferred it without karambit style shape. If it was a straight tanto I would like it a lot more.

Cool knife. I really like new Kershaw/ZT designs, but wish they were offered in MINI versions also. I rarely carry (or have any need for) knives longer that 3 1/4". I would buy this one and new ZT/Hinderer flipper for sure, if they had 3" blades. Was on a fence about ZT0551 for the same reason.

I would like even bigger versions like 4.5" blades.

:) 4.5" is way too big for me. 3.75" is good when I'm playing in the woods, or in the backyard, but in the city I much prefer smaller blades. I used to carry Titanium JYD 3.75", and had those uncomfortable looks on more than one occasion, even though I have opened knife with two hands (no flipper). On one occasion I didn't even fully open that JYD to cut the rope and still got a reply "wow, it is a big knife". That was somewhat weird. I can legally carry a bigger knife, but don't like to make people uncomfortable, because bunch of whiners can outlaw anything.

I somewhat agree effer. I do like around a 3" blade for edc however, the more I carry the ZT0551 the better I like a larger blade. I do hope there is a production version of the 0777. The prototype seems like it will be up there in price.

They do have a smaller ZT coming right up, the ZT 0780:

It's pretty much like a ZT skyline.

EDIT sorry I didn't see 3" , I only saw "smaller"

That sucker is friggin' COOL!  It'll probably be one pricey little hummer, but it sure is nice to look at.
