New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

how hard is kershaw running their elmax on the 560? i'm so tempted to order one

Don't know the hardness and don't really care. I have the 0551 and along with others can back up that ELMAX is a really supreme steel that will take a hairsplitting edge (there are pictures of it somewhere).

i know it's a good steel. but with a good heat treatment it's even better.

benchmade is usually soft where spydero is usually on the money. same steel different performance. i'm prob still going to get it if i can get rid of my bm 805

Where did you get your source information on that if I may ask. My BMs in D2 & S30V are really rugged. Knifenut1013 commented on how tough they were to sharpen, idicating a hard heat treatment.

one i'm not trying to start an argument all i wanted to know was the hardness. but if u must know take a look at bm's m4.. knifenut also commented that he doesn't buy bm's because they have poor heat treatments

Just because someone says ....... doesnt make it so (Fact) maybe they just got a bad knife .........who knows , mine seem fine.

why is everyone attacking me i asked for the dam hardness. and many people have said it. i had a m4 grip that was soft i cant comment on all of their steels i just used their m4 as a reference

I didnt mean to attack you ......I was just saying that not all knives are bad , all companys make mistakes , not all M-4 is bad.
Again I didnt mean to offend you in anyway.
I was just sticking up for my knives , spyderco and BM ......... Ive yet to have a bad one.

I agree. I don't see any attack going on man. You''re 5x5 good to go! I just wanted to know where you heard that. I have 2 Benchmades an they are some really hard blades. Knifenut was probably hung over when he posted that. :D

i'm sure bm m4 is still good stuff and would prob be tougher. it just wont be anywhere near m4 at 63. any1 know what kershaw is running their elmax at?

I personally find BM's steel on the softer side too. My favorite BM steel is 154cm, they know how to handle that one very well.

I wish I knew the answer to this, but Jimmer or Thomas will most likely answer your question soon. I hope it isn't 63, crud I have a hard time sharpening AUS6 LOL. Oh wait that's right I don't use my knives. Ha

If you want m4 at 63 get a Gayle Bradley. One of the Best knives Spyderco has ever made. Syyderco does a Much better job with HT than Benchmade IMO.

Sorry got Way off topic.
