New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Nutn prides himself in that attitude and his off the cuff remarks "can" bite. Did it blow? I'll have to watch it again cuz if it does I have no problem with the truth.

Edit: I'd have to agree. Why not a sheath like the knife right before it which is awesome?

I'd agree that I'd prefer the sheath similar to the previous knife also, given a choice. I'm just saying I thought it rude to say the insulting things he said to the Kershaw rep about the sheath. Say something like "It's ok but not my style.", or "It wouldn't be my first choice." or something. Don't say to the guy that it blows, etc, etc. My point is, it's not what you say but how you say it. Stuff like that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Anyhow, how 'bout them new ZTs huh? Can't wait!

I love how everyone loves to criticise the poor guy, but you know, he just did you all a favor. By giving these knives publicity, he just insured all of you who get them will turn a profit on them if you ever decide to sell. The guy gets Kershaw/ZT a ton of publicity. What does it matter if you think he's a tool, if you support Kershaw/ZT Idk why you'd have a problem with him. He's sold a lot of knives for them and that helps keep them around and successful so they can come out with awesome products.

Hey, when it all comes down to it, it makes no difference to me as I rarely if ever sell my knives. I don't recall calling him a tool, and as mentioned, I do watch his videos from time to time. He's just doing himself a disservice more than anything with the way he speaks and the words he chooses. I'm sure many of the manufacturers he speaks to know he has a large fan base and heavy influence on their buying decisions so they tolerate him for that reason.

If he wants to be taken more seriously by said manufacturers and in general, speak a bit more professionally. He's a grown man, not a teen surfer dude. If he has to talk like a surfer dude, keep it for the reviews.

Hey, have you guys seen the 0560/0561?
They are being produced right now and they are sweet! I've played with one and I try to keep it on the DL. I know nothing about knives and my Nutz arent Fancy, but dang! It sure is cool! It has this flippy thing on it that shoots the blade out real fast! It should impress all the chicks. :D
It's got ballz & bearingz! Yee Haw!

As a discussion item, I noticed that the knife was textured on both sides when I saw it at the SHOT Show. You can see the texturing in the photo above. I didn't think of it at the time because I don't use pocket clips on my folders. But someone commented that the texturing on the lock side might prove to be tough on pockets. Any thoughts about that?

If its anything like the Gunner Grip texturing on the SNG/SMF then yup its a pocket shredder....but its worth a little pocket damage IMO :D

What all scales do you guys plan to get, I'm getting the 560, so there's black, but I'll probably get a blue G10 as well, textured carbon fiber and titanium will be expensive but tempting also. I don't know if Hinderer uses it, but I've seen some customs lately with a cool toxic green g10, that would be on the list as well, kind of a grass green/leaf green.

Yes, Titanium would be very nice. Also Lightning Strike CF( like that will ever happen).

But actually...I'm pretty much content with my Coyote brown scales..or is it Dark Earth on the 0561?

What is lightning strike carbon fiber? If I like this knife as much as I think I'm going to I can see spending $100 on smooth carbon fiber scales.

Yummy LSCF!!

It is used in aircraft to deflect lightning strikes. It has bronze fibers woven throughout it.Cool stuff.

Thanks for the pics Alpha! I have been thinking a lot about this knife lately, has it been stated if the scales Rick will be making will be 3D machined like the stock scales? I sure hope so!

The texture on the lock side is just grippy enough, but it's not a "pocket shredding" texture. The stonewashing process smooths it out enough to make it easy on pockets.
