But they also don't want to rush into production and overlook any potential issues (like several other highly-anticipated knives out there had after feeling the pressure to produce quickly).

I'm fine with waiting until they're the way that KAI wants them to be before I get mine. This is probably going to be the closest I'll ever get to an XM-18 shy of winning the lottery, so I'd like for it to be as nice as possible rather than as soon as possible

I got the same thing, I was excited for a few seconds.

I've seen some pictures of the knife with ZT on the pocket clip and some without it. It looks much better with a plain clip with no ZT on it to me. The only thing that would make this knife better for me would be a titanium pocket clip to match the scale. Small details like that bother me on a $260 knife, but I might still get one at some point even though I'm not pre-ordering.

Just pretend it's made out of titanium and place an order, it's just a freakin pocket clip. I'm more concerned that the scale side liner isn't Ti than the clip.
