So jealous...good for you bro, I can't wait til mine gets here

Would give a little extra, to get serial # 0104.

To match the serial # of my ZT/H 0551.

Which is also the birthdate of Sajiko, best dog I've ever owned. Born 01-04.

Any word from the big dogs at Kershaw, when these might be ready for US shipment...and if its gonna be a mixed batch of 560s and 561s?

I've been thinking about something ever since the guys who got the knife already and said that the thumb studs do not really work. This is not meant to start anything and should not be taken as a complaint of any kind. But what was done differently from the 0561 that was in the kershawknivesmike video where he was flicking it open with his pinkey to the ones being shipped. I just saw the other day(yesterday I think) where one of the mods said that this was meant to be used as a flipper, which is completely understandable. I was just wondering if there was different type of machining going on, or if there was a different build process? Thanks in advance guys!

Could Thomas or any mods answer this?

If you watch closely he is flipping the flipper with his pinky, not the thumb stud.If we are watching the same vid.

Here at 5:06

The way it was explained to me at the SHOT Show, a decision had to be made re: whether to concentrate on opening the knife easily using the flipper versus using the thumbstuds. I didn't dig into it with the ZT rep at the time, but apparently ZT couldn't do both. The 0560/0561 is really designed to be used as a flipper, of course. So that was the primary consideration in engineering the opening mechanism. Without a doubt, it was far easier for me to open the 0560/0561 examples at the SHOT Show using their flippers instead of their thumbstuds.

I just received mine in the mail today!!!!! First overall opinion after i tore open the package was HOLY COW!!!! I like it alot and it's a little smaller than xm-24.one thing i noticed is that when it's in my pocket it seems to easily slide around. I mean the pocket clip dosen't secure it tightly to pocket and if i was upside down it would slide out..... very minor... Everything else rocks!!!! easily opens by flipper and thumb studs neither seem to be sticky and the more you flip it the smoother it is!!!!! It was a long wait for this and i'm glad it came thanks to some very special friends of mine.

I was wondering how that style of clip would perform on such a big knife.

The clip on the 0551 is perfection.

People starting to score in the States now. C'mon K.G. where's our knives brother?

It is an odd clip for that size knife Rob. Oh well, we take what we get and maybe tweak it.

What did you get? 60 or 61?

Cool. Maybe ZT worked out the thumbstud stickiness in their production models. I'll know more when mine arrives.
