Not really. Some people got more money than sense. I mean, if the 0560 was a custom or limited production piece, I could see paying a premium for it. But it's not. It's a PRODUCTION knife. There will be plenty of them to go around at MAAP pricing in the not too distant future.

Guys on other forums thought I worked for Kershaw because I fed them such good info from this thread. I would always say " No, I'm just a cheerleader who's held one." I was on a pre order list before a pre order list existed. So,relax its gonna get here.

That's what I was trying to say..IMO there's no need to rush and pay upwards of $450. It'll be released soon, i don't see the point

Alphahunter brings up some good points. This is a monster thread that has run the gamut of emotions from anticipation to elation.
I can see why people (even those that had planned to keep and use these) are compelled to consider selling. The market seems to be strong right now as demand far outpaces supply.
These guys knew exactly what they were doing when they collaborated on these Hinderer designs.
Personally, I plan to keep these and use them. They are similar enough to my EDC XMs that they will accompany me when my XMs cannot. Mostly I am speaking of air travel. I always try to have a knife on me, but public air transport takes that away. I keep a (comparably) inexpensive knife or three in my checked bag. Often my ZT550 rides to and from the airport (in my pocket) in place of an XM, but stays secured in the vehicle while I travel. I miss my flipper! So the 550 will see less duty once either my 560 or 561 arrive.

I just realized how long this threads been around. Now i realize that im lucky because i only noticed the 0560 on a websight the other day and promptly preordered it. I'm certainly glad i haven't been knowingly waiting a year.
What's a Pre-order? I did'nt get around to it yet works been verrry slow. I guess i'll pick one up later when they are out. Hopefully the price does'nt jump up like i've been seeing them go for lately. Heck i payed 650.00 for a production xm-18 and thought that was alot. I sold it and now their even higher in price. Its just crazy what some knives buy and sell for. Thae 560 looks like a nice knife though. Well good luck all. :thumbup:

Based on the popularity of a knifemaker, pricing on custom knives can take on a life of its own. But that shouldn't happen on production knives. Patience may work against you on the former. But it should work for you on the latter. When it comes to the 0560, my motto is simple. MAAP or bust!What's a Pre-order?

I can't fault either the guys selling them high or the ones paying the premium now that I give it some thought, that is what I want our economy to be. No not over priced goods but the freedom to do it and a market to do it in. Different strokes. Good on the sellers and buyers IMO

You know, if a buyer is happy with the price they paid, and the seller is happy to sell at that price, then all is well with the two. I certainly wouldn't hold it against anyone for buying at a high price if that's what makes them happy. But, I will be waiting till our good friend Dave has them, and those of us on his list can get one.

I'm true a mover and shaker when it comes to dealings, and yet I pay on uber-premium stuff. Seems like you have to wait forever otherwise. Guess I look at it that life is too short to sweat paying market on premium.
On the flip side, I've seen $10,000 deals fall apart over $100...Wow.
My bargain shopping is saved for the other expenses in my life. Figure I make it up there, and it all works out in the end.
Shame?...perhaps a bit harsh

..maybe so. I guess as long as the buyer is happy. Waiting a couple more weeks than spending more is a better and smarter choice for me
