New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

..maybe so. I guess as long as the buyer is happy. Waiting a couple more weeks than spending more is a better and smarter choice for me
I agree. I'd also argue that the 0560 doesn't fall into the "uber premium" category nor will we have to wait forever to get our hands on them. So paying a premium over MAAP to buy an 0560 right now just so I can say that I'm the first kid on my block to have one doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either. Give it 6 months and nobody will care who was first.

I'm true a mover and shaker when it comes to dealings, and yet I pay on uber-premium stuff. Seems like you have to wait forever otherwise. Guess I look at it that life is too short to sweat paying market on premium.

On the flip side, I've seen $10,000 deals fall apart over $100...Wow.

My bargain shopping is saved for the other expenses in my life. Figure I make it up there, and it all works out in the end.

Shame?...perhaps a bit harsh
Totally agreed, Thomas. I really don't get why a handful of folks are getting so worked up about what other people do with their money (the people paying premium prices to get the 056Xs right away) or property (the people selling them). As bobnery nicely put it a few posts back, we really should be glad that we live in a political and economic system that allows people the freedoms to make choices like that, rather than one that does not.

Very well stated Neuron

I have to laugh at those that criticize those who have the means to pay premium prices for things they want. Having large sums of disposable income would change most people's spending practices.

And for those that criticize be aware that 99.9% of the general public view spending $260 on a pocket knife is just unfathomable if not sick. That's not even considering how many knives the buyer already has...kind of affirms the old "those that live in glass houses..." saying.

What is wonderfully relevant at the moment with this thread, is that folks are receiving their 0560/61 knives and that is what the chatter should be about. Not life styles of a few people.

Why is it assumed that everyone who purchased a 0560 paid a premium? A lot of us paid $260. What are you intending to pay?

Question: I sent a pre-order email to Kershawguy a couple months ago for a 0561, but I didn't get any reply. Is that normal? I didn't want to send a follow-up email because I thought it might screw up his system of one email per pre-order.

On the first point I'd definitely agree given that the people did have disposable income. I have found though that many have instant gratification income called a credit card, but that's not our business

Your second point is great. The public at large would think we all are a bunch of idiots for spending more than 30 on a knife. I remember when I paid 60 for a leatherman, and thought I was in the uber premium knife market.

I don't have large amounts of disposable income but I can pay for my folders.

Can I have mine now? I'll pay for expedited shipping! How's that for being a high roller?? :D

One guy told me I was an idiot for spending more than $3 on a knife. He use to buy those cheap china crap at gas stations. He kept telling me that till his lock failed and it closed on his hand and cut him so bad he almost lost a couple fingers. After that he bought a cold steel voyager at my recommendation. Now he is EDCing a ZT0200.

I am confused by your statement.

Other than the higher cost for those buying in their home countries out side the U.S., I have read of only few paying a premium. Really haven't seen people making assumptions of everyone paying more than the $260 dealers are charging.

Oddest dream last night...I was in a grassy meadow, there were these track hurdles (weird right?), I can't recall much else as it was all kinda a blur...

It seemed so real, yet I know it's was just my imagination...
