New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Great question, banana-clip.

And we just hit 4000 posts, on 100 pages.

If we all walk outside @ 2100CST tonite and loudly chant, "Brown Truck! Brown Truck! Brown Truck!" do ya suppose it would help?

Might be able to hear your neighbors chanting, too.

Funny you should say that. I was looking at the 551 scales at Hinderer's site today. I'm quite smitten with the red and orange and green right now.

Orange more than red. I would need to find a torx tool however. anyone have those for sale we know of? what size?

oh I am in so much trouble here. he he!

Ok, here is my take. All three knives are so different.
The best way to describe it is to compare it to some Football blasts from the past.
The 300 series is heavy weight and big. Probably my favorite ZT its like William the Refrigerator Perry it'll go through anything.
The 551/550 series is middle heavy weight, nice and muscular and ready for the job. It's a Bo Jackson, it can do anything really good.
The 560/561 series is light heavy weight muscular, super fast and will hurt you if you get in it's way. Its a Walter Payton it's gonna leave a lasting impression.

The next collab I'd like to see ZT do besides one with me. :D would be a Strider SMF style knife but with the ZT style that separates it from a Strider like they did with the XM based 560/561.

I think it would get the same response this knife did. Offer Elmax or M390 guys would go nuts!

Absolutely!! Maybe even in a Tanto.

M390 SMF with Kershaw style. Perfect.

M390 or even 3V, which I believe ZT already works with in the 0100.

Yes!

Flipper Spanto. :D

My least favorite blade shape? Tanto. :thumbdn:

My 2nd least favorite? Recurve.

JMO, of course. ;)

I hope somewhere , the Pit Crew is fine-tuning the Big Brown Truck.

Quoted for truth. The 300 series are beasts. Plus, The Fridge actually lives right down the street from me. :D

I'd like to see a ZT with SMF style aswell. I think it would do great. I almost bought the SMF actually, then I saw a price tag, and then I saw a ZT. :) Half the price and you're getting just as much knife and in some cases, more.

It's sad. I'm such a Kershaw fanboy. They could make a knife with BEAR GRYLLS all down the side of it and I'd probably still buy it.

I'd love to see and order a scaled down 3" bladed 560/561...bet they would sell as fast as the full-sized models. I know I'd order a couple :D

Before all the buzz for the 0560 I would have said 3" too. I've since bought a couple of big blades to prepare for the 0560 and I kinda like both sizes. I seriously doubt they would do a 3" or a 3.5" because of the overlap with the XM, but I think a 3.25" would be PERFECT! Count me in!

After reading the 4000 posts here I decided to take the plunge with 0561. Most expensive knife I've purchased.

What are the preferred dealers around here? I know KnifeCenter and GPknives.

Everyone is waiting beside their mailboxes!

Soon the dealers will get their hands on them then us, and then the picture flood will commence err continue!

I'm busy checking my email every 5 minutes. I'll wait until the end of the week before attempting a ninja like infiltration of Kershaw headquarters. I gotta a jones only milled titanium can satisfy!!

I'm guessing dealers won't be getting their shipments untill the middle of this week, if they are shipping from Kershaw today.

The Fridge. He even had his own GI Joe action figure. Lol! :D
