It's Saturday. Maybe...... Just maybe our trusted heroes will show up to save the day? ;)
I'm like a kid after Christmas wanting more! Lol!

I got so psyched reading this thread last night that I pre-ordered an 0551. That's after I just got a new umnumzaan last Thursday! If these rumors of a 4in flipper and custom scales are true I think I'm just gonna give Rick direct access to my checking account because he's getting most of my knife money this year!

Well, you actually be giving your money to KAI, the parent company for Zero Tolerance knives. Either way, Rick will be getting some of your money.:) You will love the 0551; it's a fantastic EDC blade.

I would gladly give him the money directly for a XM-18 or XM-24 but since that's next to possible I guess this is the next best thing until I can score a real Hinderer without getting raped in the secondary market. Can't wait for the 0551 though!

His knives are like Gas. If you want it your gonna pay!Lol! I agree the mark up is very high. I Wish we could get a break on his fabulous work. I want an XM 24 so bad but can't bring myself to spend a grand +. that's why I'm so excited about this. I could use my LE discount and wait for it to be built? That would give me time to set the money aside and to fund other projects until it's built?

worked all day....came home as tired as a grownup....and what do i find?

page 3 again.....

am i gonna hafta take a vacation day to keep this on the front page, dammit?

'cause if you browse thru the first 3 pages to find this thread, you'll quickly see:

This is true i think this is going to be the next folder i buy.

Okay Alphahunter, Reeek, Gnarly, Tsujigiri and everyone else. I'm very disappointed that this fell all the way to page 3!! Are you kidding me? Where's the passion for the Flipper? Keep the pressure on; keep the momentum building until the big day in June! :D:D:D:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Woops, dropped the ball. I was distracted by the 0551 I just got this week ;)

I do have a question for Rick or Thomas, though. Why is the lockbar cutout on the outside of this one? One thing that I'm really liking about the 0551 is that the cutout is on the inside, so the clip rests against a flat surface and the knife doesn't rip up your pockets. Putting the cutout on the outside will make pocket wear a problem in my experience. Is there an advantage to make up for this that I don't know about?

SSSHHH! That's the same cut-out as the XM-18 & 24 that is a Hinderer design, also the lanyard cut-out and more. Let's let them keep building this bad boy, it reeks of XM-18 (hoping for XM-24 blade length) the way it's drawn now. ;)

Off to work again.....please keep a close eye on our infant: Flipper....and keep him safe from bad influences, away from  the lower pages.

Sounds like you talked yourself into buying that XM-24! I would go for it since you really can't lose. Worse case you sell it at a nice profit. Although once you get your hands on it I doubt you would want to part with it!

Choices.... Choices... And more choices.... ;)

I bought an XM-24 and it's a crazy big knife. It's kind of like my new Demko custom - "uhmm what am I going to do with this now that I own it?"

I know other LEO's that carry an XM-24 - but they're knife nuts. It's awfully big and heavy for the blade size of a Cold Steel large Voyager. It's a knife for any serious collector though even if it doesn't work with your load-out weight considerations. Definitely sheeple unfriendly as is the XM-18 which is about perfect IMHO.

I have a large Sebenza and I want to EDC it but every time I leave the house I "must" have the XM-18 in my pocket or my RAT/Esee Izula in a minimal kydex sheath. The XM's are built with every bit or more precision than a CRK, they're just made on a bigger tougher scale, if that makes sense. ;)

Found this thread on page 3 again. Completely unacceptable. Rick/Thomas, please bring us some new information. I don't think I can wait until June.
