New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

ohmyheck no!! :( :thumbdn: Well if it went full production yes, but I've noticed something about Kershaw I think, except for some models, they seem to run some really cool knives and then they dump 'em for some reason? By the time I find out a bout a cool folder often times it's already discontinued. Maybe it's me?

It's not just you. It looks like a lot of knives end up discontinued because they're to difficult to make, are limited editions, or aren't popular enough with the Walmart crowd. At least Kershaw has the balls to take a risk on something like a stud lock or rubber seal, even if it doesn't work out in the end. They could use a few permanent higher end offerings, though, other than ZT. I know that they're very capable, but the knives like that that they make usually are gone before they can build up a reputation.

Oh, and combo edges kill the blade IMO.

I'm going to guess that MSRP is going to be $299 and that we as the consumer should be able to get them around $250. Personally, for what it looks like we'll be getting that sounds like a bargain. I still think that the ZT0551 at $200 was a helluva bargain.

I think you might be right on the pricing guess. Less than 40 days until Blade Show!!!

When is the non-flipper version being produced? All the sites say they are on pre-order or sold out.

It is pretty easy to add serrations to a plain edged knife. There are some members on the forum that have done that work for others and the results were reported as excellently done.
So I'm still curious. Any chance of a combo edge on this model? (the correct answer, hopefully, is YES) :)

Hypothetically, the frame lock side of this one might be fricken amazing :)

Understatement Alert!

On this FLIPPER......

FLIPPER!!!

I'm thinking the quality of the shop rag they use to wipe off any fingerprints before shipping, might be fricken amazing!

And when I see the local mail carrier ( a Druid priest, riding a burro on a dirt trail;bi-monthly delivery) coming to bring mine, that'll be REALLY fricken amazing!

P.S. As my Dad useta say,"Don't worry about the mule going blind, boys; just load the wagon!"

So to Thomas W and Rick Hinderer et al: Don't worry about the Blade Show...just BRING IT!

This just makes me giggle like a school girl. Under 40 days until Blade!!:)
