I really wouldn't worry about it. The detent has nothing to do with the bearing and the bearing has nothing to do with the tendency toward closure. They operate completely independently. Increasing the friction at the bearing will not make a CA banned knife more legal!Videos I've seen of that bearing in action worry me a little. I only hope this flipper and the tilt have a sufficient indent so as to not be able to be considered a gravity knife. (gravity knives are illegal concealed carry here in CA)

nope, ca has no length limit on folders.

The only knives you have to worry about in ca are autos and double sided blades
open carry fixed blades are legal too
