New ZT offering : 0545

Looks like ZT just released a new model. I rather dig the overall design. A bit understated but seems to fit ZT's usual MO. First ZT to spark my interest in a good while.

Why they insist on always putting a stupid carbon fiber scale on everything is beyond me. Just make a TI framelock out of TI for god's sake. Might have been a knife worth trying if they had.

The clip protruding and the oddly placed lockside pocket makes my eyes bleed.. plus its magnacut so I really dont want one.

Just my opinion. but that and a toonie will get you nothing more than a cup of coffee..

Well it suckered me in. I had some points to burn at DLT though. I’m a long time Benchmade fan so I’m used to getting bent over but not getting a reach around. I like the thin blade and the size is just right though. We shall see.

You guys should well know that on Bladeforums if I like it, differing opinions are not allowed! It’s amazing, end of story!

Hey, it’s got some nice specs, and it’s a good looking knife (on one side). Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

It looks like a reasonably good office edc with a slicey blade and low maintenance. The lockside pocket is apparently intended to guide fingers off the lockbar to ease opening, so maybe it will prove to be quite functional. The handle looks weird to me though.

Well at least ZT has graduated to magna Cut. For a while Kershaw was offering magna cut and ZT was offering 20 CV. Might be a step in the right direction. Good luck with your new knife I hope it serves you well.

I like the look a lot actually… totally different size of knife, but the pocket reminds me of the milled pockets on the Shiro Quantum G2, which absolutely add to the knife, imo.

Oh … if you want a tank, you need the 0393GLCF. I said somewhere else that I think if you broke your anvil, that blade would be a suitable substitute.
