New ZT?

All ZTs should be considered slip joints.

Oh really? All of them huh? Even this one?

O.B.

I agree that it looks like a ZT version of the Firetac.

Its possible that it could be a new emerson collab, but it seemed to me they were moving away from those.

It has a profile similar to the Kershaw/Emerson 6K

It has to be a new model, no existing ones fit the profile.

It also seems to lack a flipper?
Maybe it's a Front flipper:cool: BTW do we even know if it's a folder at all? Could it be a Fixed blade? sorry for the ignorance, haven't done my homework yet

Looks like a fire tac to me as well, but you never know. Guess I have something to look forward to on the 14th!

Ran some filters on it, but I'm no expert. Made it a bit brighter.

If it is a ZT version of the Firetac it will be an interpretation of it and not an identical copy as the 392 was of the Eklipse.

Look at the finger choil on the handle area of the preview silhouette vs the Firetac. Also the butt is different. The blade is hard to tell because ZT sometimes puts their own blades on.

I am also curious if this is an Emerson Design. (Please let it be) I would love for them to dona 3.25 inch ZT Emerson that wasn’t so heavy as the 620/30. Notice in the preview they made sure to make surenthe area where the wave would go is completely blacked out.

Good thing there's not already an entire thread dedicated to the topic of the functionality of ZT's frame locks...

I'm self-admittedly not the world's largest ZT fan, but I do like my 0450FCZDP as well as my 452WBW a lot and some of their newer offerings are more up my alley than their past designs (although they're further towards the back of the line in my wish list currently).

It would be cool to see a front flipper or even a *gasp* non-flipper from ZT though. I for one am interested to see what the reveal knife is, if for no other reason than to see if ZT is going to try something even modestly different from their norm.

If that's the actual knife in the image. It looks an awful lot like a Marlowe Bulldog. Doubt it is, considering Boker has the rights to that model.

The handle design is very much like something you would see on a Marlowe, J.W. Smith, or a McHenry & Williams design.

My best guess is that it's an Emerson collaboration, especially because the most blacked out area of the teaser post is where the wave would be. I would be really happy with a ZT version of the firetac though, maybe with a 3.25 inch slicey blade.

2018 has been the year of the sprint run for ZT, I feel it’s going to be another sprint.
I really hope I’m wrong and they shock everybody with something out of left feild that nobody saw coming.
