Nice pic!:thumbup:Sorry to hear about your mess! I can only compare to the ZT 350 and I like the 0551 much more. To me, it just looks better and feels better in the hand.

My 0551 is supposed to show up tommorow, I'll try to get a pic posted with my 0301 before leaving for work.
You can make your own using 9mm or .38 Super. They are pretty much drop in. I replaced mine on the Striders then used the Hinderer on my 0551.

I have done this and it helps for a bit. Then it goes right back to sticking.
I'm going to give it some time and hope it comes around.
Other than the sticky lock bar, and the factory grinds (very uneven) I like the knife.
Mine sticks bad too.Takes two hands to open it. Overall fit and finish is possibly below average benchmade quality, definitely not spyderco.
Blemishes here and there, definitely not $200+ quality imo. Lockup is tight though, and blade is centered.
Not sure if my grinds are uneven, but it doesn't shave easily. Maybe just a high angle?
I'm too blind to see grinds.
Love the ergonomics though, and it opens up fairly smooth, although not for the price. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bummed out. I'm probably just too picky.

No way... has to be an SMF on top and SNG on bottom. Four screw on top and three screw on bottom.
I think that after you have it for a while and it gets broken in then it will open much better for you. I thought the same thing when I first got mine and now it is super smooth and opens like lighting. I used if for a couple of months and then took her apart to clean her up and it's been fantastic since then. Just my 2 cents.
So much for my Hawk Eye.No way... has to be an SMF on top and SNG on bottom. Four screw on top and three screw on bottom.
Mine did too until I learned that you need to push upwards on the thumbstud instead of outwards. Now it opens just fine. It still has a bit of resistance from the little ball that fits into the recess on the lockbar when in the closed position but it's really pretty easy to open if you push up on the thumbstud.Mine literally takes two hands to open. The bar gets absolutely stuck.

Does anyone notice the thumb stud on one side having "skinned" looking places all the way around it? Mine looks like they pushed it through and left the marks on the one side. Never seen that on any knife before. The stone washed blade when looking close looks like it was an excuse to leave some pretty good scratches on the blade's surface to me, also. Nothing like the evenness of say a Sebenza's stone wash blade finish. The lock bar on mine is fine and the blade centering perfect.
