If they stonewash this sprint run, think of all the sales they'll lose when they do release a production model with all stonewash. I'll have to make this one a safe queen and flip it for the $$ to get the stonewash handle/blade release.

just kidding Rick - I'm going to beat this thing up...clears throat...riiiight! :)
 
I'd be upset if the production is all stonewashed... the sprint should be special.. the production should be plain Ti.

Slightly off topic but... since it looks like we wont be getting a stonewashed ti side... can you stonewash/tumble the bare ti??

I highly doubt there's anything else to even hint at, considering the 550 specs aren't even finalized.

Hmmm...currently we have nothing planned with Rick on the ZT side. I do believe there will be another partnered knife in 2011 though.

We do have a flag ship Kershaw piece that has been signed off on, but that should be for another thread. ;) It will make its debut at SHOT in Jan.

So the 550 and 551 will both have stonewashed blades, just different steel.

Will the scale design and cut out pattern on the g10 be the same as well?

Any other differences between the two?

(I know, we`re wearin` you out)

Pretty sure it was already stated the brick g10 will be 551 only. Otherwise the only difference that has been finalized is the steel. I'm sure once the 551 is done they will think of more things to differentiate the two...
