From what I understand Vanax 35 is better on the wear resistance than the Elmax, but Elmax is no slouch.

That's odd. I just assumed that nitrides aren't formed as easily as carbides, making it less wear resistant than Elmax.

However, I'm still not sure if this is rust proof and work hardening like H1 is. If a higher hardness + work hardening can be achieved, it might prove to be more desirable than Elmax.
 
What kind of pics? There is not much to shoot as of today.

I'm totally in this boat too. I've been blown away with how much Thomas has been keeping us all in the loop! And even the sprint run with a more readily available steel, that's amazing.

And as for this knife, in either version, I can wait to get it in my hands. That projected fall release date can't come soon enough!
 
@Benny Thanks - At least we don't have to wait too terribly long. The end of the month I guess if all things go accoring to plan (knock on wood).

I agree, Thomas has been awesome for keeping us updated on the progress on the knife and those pics were great....thanks Thomas :thumbup:

It won't be long before these will be finished...can't wait till the end of the month :thumbup:
