Ok I started this yesterday so I am now calling a truce. With Rick posting now this thread is starting to feel like Inception!
 
Just got on the back up list for this knife, so many posts dont wanna have to read through them all, anyone mind answering if this blade is uncoated ie not black on the 551
 
I love the look of a stonewashed blade.

How does it wear? Does it wear the same as a regular satin blade?

I bit. Bought a copy of Tactical Weapons and there it was on page 62. Did you notice the typo in the ad copy up top?
 
well thats what i needed to hear lol this seems like the knife i want hope someone backs out and i get the shot so i can buy it :P The reason I have been not wanting a ZT Knife is because of coated blades so this will be the first time im super intrested in one :)

Ya know,there oughta be a separate thread here,for the lucky recipients of the sprint run ZT 0551's,awash with praise & pictures....an 800-MIS-TOUT # for free grief therapy for the mourners,their immediate family and visiting relatives....a contentious outcry,as to what features our next ZT/H DreamKnife should have....a desperate plea for a big brother ZT/H 0661 & 0660....and pining for the release date of the ZT/H 0550 in (hopefully) early 2011....sacrifices,avarice,greed,lust,selling lesser collectables,possibly even some misdemeanor budget deceit at home (justifiable,of course),squirrelling away some cash toward That Next One....

Simply because it's obvious: this thread is destined to break 100,000 views.

And,inevitably,someone will want to start signing up for pre-ordering the ZT/H 0550....Let me remind you: the one constant about the inevitable? It always happens.

And because of the raw energy already generated here while waiting with baited breath,no reason why the next thread won't break 100K,also....

But alas and alack; even after the paying is done and the waiting begins,the mail is so fretfully slow ....and I'll be listening for the burdened clip-clop of small hooves,on the dusty trail....here in Resume Speed,KY,where the mail is usually delivered bi-weekly :grumpy:.. by a Druid priest riding a burro.

Right! You can hold it for him - do a spreadsheet & stuff. It'll make his shipping faster. He can't go to sleep until they're all shipped. Better send him some of those "Monster" drinks that my kids (over 21) always drink. :D

Will these be mass-produced? Is there a chance I will be seeing this at Knife Works?

They are not out yet. Any day now, I hope! :) The 0551 is a limited run. The 0550, due out at the end of the year, or early next year, will be mass produced.
