I know Kershaw had some on order. It should be in by now, and whatever handle they put it on I'm buying. It is a wonderful steel. Takes a very fine edge, good retention and rust resistance, and sharpens much easier than ZDP. My 110V Shallot is a real slicer.
 
my problem is I buy a harduse knife but then have a hard time talkin myself into using it lol this one is a nice middle ground of me fearing using it and serving no other purpose other then a fancy toy to flick while watchin tv and opening letters :P
 
Being a Ti framelock, I think the 055x series will work just as good as a hard use knife as the 0200 and 0300 series knives are. That said, getting the limited run 0551, it will probably sit in the safe for a while.
 
I read somewhere that the handle will be in brick pattern??? Is this correct? Will this be in the 0551 or does it include the 0550 also. Thanks.

Last I heard they made some very slight changes to the scales on the 0551, but are still the brick pattern. I believe the 0550 will have standard checkering similar to the 0350.

Take a look fast, because this pic isn't staying up long. This is the 0551 scale.

For the 0551, it's now a waiting list, in case someone cancels I believe. Look here and send kershawguy an email. Other ZT dealers might be working a pre-order list also.
 
Somebody please PM me the picture posted of the handle scales, I missed it!
