Thomas and Rick, I was really surprised by that grind. It has a certain elegance to it. I am looking forward to getting my copy of this knife. Signed or not, I will probably never let this knife go.

richw: No glass breaker for the 0551, IIRC.

thank you, disappointing, but thank you.

The glass breaker is on the 0550. We can still get one and modify later, I think.

Oh, man...I like how the little choil seems to have been downsized from earlier pics. More cutting edge, but still a small choil left for ease of sharpening. Plus, silly glass breaker has been replaced with nice looking spacers. Perfect!

Great looking knife!

Definitely gonna try to make the 0550 my first ZT and Ti Framelock when they come out next year.

I have been able to keep my excitement calm for the most part until I saw the grind. I might have pooped a little... This knife is amazing!

Thomas and Rick,
Those latest pics are looking REALLY good! Things are progressing nicely:thumbup:

Thanks for the update.

So many members are crapping their pants... what does that say about us all as a group? Maybe FOS?

Anyone know how many are being made total? I don't remember it mentioned anywhere, maybe Thomas can answer after the weekend. Good work mang!

I think the original sprint was approved for 750 pieces? I don't recall what the final number was...

Looks very much like a production slicer grind. This is one of the best looking knives made to date. Regardless of price.
I think those pics deserve a video to accompany them!!!

Will the lockside scale be tumbled?

That is exactly what I thought on the grind.

Here is mine with the Slicer grind, they appear very similar. This is a good thing for me because I love that grind.

I'm pretty sure that's one of the few knife pictures to make my pants really tingle...

...Either that or I need to go to the doctor and get some meds.

hm. after seeing some CRK's with the scotchbrite treatment im thinking i might go that route instead of trying to color the Ti. it looks worn but classy...

anyone else thinking of ways to personalize theirs yet?

Yeah, I'm gonna use it so it looks worn instead of trying different things to give it the appearance of looking worn.

....i plan on using it too.

the scotchbrite hides the scratches better than the standard finish and gives it a unique look (unlike the regular finish)

You have to be talking about the Sebenza because how could you possibly know this about the 0551?

And the Scotchbrite finish isn't exactly unique when everyone does it to their knife.
